Reviews: New Orleans: Sunday Steamboat Jazz Cruise + Optional Brunch

We really enjoyed it. We did think it needed minor improvements. There was no band on the way in (as per the description), we didn’t expect brunch to be so early. It could have been done on the 2nd leg as we were still eating when the guide was talking and it wasn’t very clear in the restaurant area. We only caught the end of the band after we ate, had a tour of the boat then sat down to listen to the music. It was fun, just needs a bit of tweaking to make it 5 stars.

Naif was a wonderful tour guide with so much knowledge not just of the food but of the history behind it! It was the highlight of our trip! The foods selected were a great representation of New Orleans and I felt I knew New Orleans better! He even gave us pointers on where to find fresh seafood to take home!

I arrived with two grumpy teenagers in tow - and they were won over immediately by an energetic tour guide. We visited four restaurants that were well researched. I also enjoyed the other participants on the tour. Overall this is a great way to get an introduction to the city, as they knew the history and had good relationships with the local businesses.
