Reviews: [Two-person travel discount] [Official ticket] Cotai Water Jet one-way Boat Ticket (Hong Kong Sheung Wan to Macau Taipa)

Board the ferry at Sheung Wan Ferry Pier. It's conveniently located just a short taxi ride from Harbour City through a tunnel. Use the QR code to exchange for your ticket, then go through customs and wait in the waiting hall to get your seat number. Ferries depart for Taipa every half hour.

A very convenient way to get to Macau. If you get seasick, it's best to bring a travel bag—the waves can be quite rough.

We enjoyed the journey, which lasted approximately one hour. The waters were quite calm, boarding was on time, and the luggage storage process was also handled efficiently. Seat assignment was well organized, and although we were traveling as a group of seven, everything was smooth and the boarding process was very quick and hassle-free.

Hong Kong ➡️ Macau ferry free event ended, which was a shame 🥹 but I was able to book it at a low price thanks to Trip.com's 2-person discount, and it was convenient to use as it was just a QR code. It took about an hour to get to Macau, and if you get seasick, I recommend taking motion sickness medicine in advance.

The instructions are not very clear and after passing the immigration, it was not the same coach to continue the journey.

We arrived at Taipa Port from beautiful Macau at 1:00 PM, and tickets for the 1:30 PM train were sold out at both the ticket office and trip.com. You can only buy tickets on the first floor of the station with a card or Ali Pay. We had to go to the second floor. We decided to buy them on Trip and skip the ticket office on the second floor. We bought first class and went straight to security. The ferry boarding started about 15 minutes early. First class seats are on the second floor of the ferry, and the price includes a drink of your choice, cookies, and a mini bag of chips. The main bonus is that first-class passengers exit first. This was very convenient, as the ferry was full on the first floor. There weren't many passengers on the second floor, and most of them were seated by the windows. The ride took an hour (for reference: the bus from Hong Kong Airport to Macau takes 30 minutes, but for some reason, there were no ferries from the airport the day we traveled). The cabin is a bit dated, but comfortable. I was worried I'd get seasick, but it was bearable and I didn't get any. Security at the port was very quick and they didn't ask any questions.
