Reviews: Essential Whitby: Discover the town's legends on a self-guided audio tour

Would highly recommend this tour. We had a fab time doing this with our two dogs. It really made a wet gloomy day so much more fun. Super easy to set up and follow.
Reviews: From York: Day Trip to Whitby and The North York Moors
Guest User2026-04-09
Everything was perfect! Chris was very friendly and explained everything really well, plus he gave great recommendations. The only thing I would improve is the timing; I would change the stops. I would allow half an hour in Helmsey and 45 minutes in Goathland, as it's a bit of a trek to get to the famous train station. Otherwise, it was fantastic, no complaints at all.
Reviews: From York: North Moors and Whitby Tour

Great trip to Whitby. Grateful he took us up to the Abby so we didn’t have to walk up. The train was not working on our day but that’s okay since we knew that up front. Whitby was jammed packed because of Easter weekend but we still managed to find a good place for fish and chips. Bob was a great driver and guide! Gave us a tip about a York record fair (which is what my husband was looking for) and we were able to go on Saturday.
Reviews: Whitby: Whitby Abbey Ticket

I walked up the 100 Steps through the centaur and past the Church in the fog and took some amazing photos. As I got to the Abbey the staff were very friendly with Abbey information and other areas around Whitby. The fog lifted while I was walking around the Abbey. So was able to get another lot of amazing photos while it was clear. Really enjoyed my way to the Abbey and visiting the Abbey!
