It was a very fulfilling day. Director Sun's explanations were humorous and engaging, and I learned a lot about geography and history.★

Reviews: Kyushu autumn foliage viewing Miyazaki Takachiho Gorge optional cruise experience · Kumamoto Mount Aso · Kusasenri 1-day tour

Thank you to our tour guide, Wu Xia, for your incredibly dedicated service, which made for a wonderful day for everyone! Although we encountered a traffic jam due to an accident on the highway and our attempt to gamble on the weather in the mountains failed, Wu Xia's expert explanations along the way provided a wealth of knowledge about Mount Aso, which was still very rewarding! You absolutely must go boating in Takachiho! It was so much fun! Wu Xia's self-made boating instructions were extremely useful! This was a combined Chinese and English tour, and the bilingual explanations increased the tour guide's workload, but Wu Xia took excellent care of both groups, taking beautiful photos for everyone – truly amazing!★

Reviews: 1-day tour to Takachiho Gorge in Miyazaki and Kumamoto with optional cruise, sky train and Mount Aso Kusasenri
Guest User2026-08-29
A fantastic itinerary! The scenery at every attraction was absolutely stunning! The overall trip wasn't tiring at all; the kids loved it, and the adults had a great time too. Our tour guide, Sun Peng, was fantastic! His introductions to the attractions were lively and engaging, and he also highlighted the best food and photo spots. A perfect trip!★

Reviews: Japan Kyushu Hidden Gems: Aso Volcano with Free Shuttle + Kusasenri + Takachiho Gorge 1-day Tour
Guest User2026-09-23
This was a very hassle-free trip. Our guide, Jimmy, was incredibly attentive and provided excellent explanations. I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire time, and I felt very fortunate to have joined this day trip to Takachiho, Kusanagi, and Aso. The attractions are quite far apart, and public transportation would be difficult to navigate, so a group tour made things much easier.
Our guide had a wide range of knowledge, explaining the myths and legends of Takachiho and the landscape of Mount Aso in a clear and easy-to-understand way, making it more than just sightseeing. The vast grasslands of Kusanagi, with the distant volcano, were particularly soothing. We had ample time at each attraction, and he didn't rush us around. He even pointed out the best photo spots. He also provided helpful local tips along the way and patiently assisted us with any problems we encountered.★

Reviews: [Lunch Cruise Ticket Optional] One-Day Tour of Takachiho Gorge in Kyushu, Japan + Kumamoto Aso Volcano and Kusasenri Scenic Area

I highly recommend this excursion: the volcano is an absolute must-see, especially when it's active, with several viewing areas. There are three different viewpoints. Excellent value for money. Comfortable bus with very professional staff.
