Our tour guide Junichi had an exceptional ability to enlighten and engage not only us but even those around us who stopped to listen. We spent a full day exploring Nara and marveling at its amazing sites. Learning from a local who genuinely cared about what we wanted to know and see was a joy. Our day was filled with fun, learning, and laughter. Junichi made us feel like cherished friends. Parting ways at Nara Station was bittersweet—we felt like we were saying farewell to an old friend. Junichi's perfect English, passion for teaching, knowledge of Nara, and genuine warmth made this tour an unforgettable chapter of our Japan adventure. We wholeheartedly recommend Junichi as a tour guide and this amazing tour!

Reviews: Kansai railway pass lite (2026 new edition) 2-day/3-day pass (formerly Kansai thru pass)
Guest User2026-10-16
This ticket covers a wide area, from Himeji, Kobe, Nara, Wakayama, Osaka Umeda to Kyoto, allowing you to explore the entire Kansai region with just one ticket – extremely convenient. Except for JR lines, it can be used on all other private railways, making it more flexible for travel planning. You can take the Hanshin Railway to Kobe and Tarumi Outlet for shopping sprees, or take the Osaka Metro directly to the Hankyu Railway to Kyoto's Kawaramachi area. The Keihan Railway can take you to Kadoma Outlet and Hirakata Park, and you can even take the Osaka Monorail to Expo Memorial Park for Lalaport – truly a worthwhile investment. However, starting this year, the ticket usage has changed from a physical ticket to a QR code e-ticket on your mobile phone. Once activated, the ticket must be used consecutively, unlike the previous physical ticket which allowed for split-day use. This is somewhat limiting, and you must ensure your phone has sufficient battery power before traveling, otherwise, it won't work. Overall, if you need to travel to attractions/locations that are relatively far away, purchasing this ticket is definitely the first choice, and it's easy to get your money's worth. I would recommend it to friends and family who come to Kansai for tourism.

Reviews: JR Haruka Kansai Airport Limited Express ticket (e-ticket/physical ticket [requires redemption] optional)
Guest User2026-10-22
Because I booked my Kansai flight on Trip.com, there was a special discount on Haruka tickets, making it cheaper than other platforms – highly recommended! The e-tickets are so convenient; you can scan the QR code directly on your phone to enter the station! After purchasing the ticket, you need to go to another website to select your travel time and seat. It took me a while to figure it out, but it's fairly clear now! The ability to change your travel time and seat is fantastic. I suggest checking the arrival crowds after you land before choosing your seat, otherwise you'll be anxious and miss your train if your flight is delayed or your luggage takes a long time to arrive. PS. - If you booked tickets for travel companions, you can't transfer the tickets to other phones. You need to use the same phone to create different QR codes for entry. - The conductor will check your ticket after boarding (just show the QR code on your phone). - Make sure you know which platform you're on before boarding; don't board in the wrong direction!

Reviews: Kyoto and Nara Day Tour │ Kiyomizu-dera Temple + Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine + Nara Park
Guest User2026-09-23
The entire itinerary was well-planned, with each segment lasting about an hour, making it very comfortable. The vehicle was in good condition, and the driver/guide were excellent service personnel—polite, courteous, and of high quality. Even at the end of the tour, they never asked for a positive review. Todai-ji Temple in Nara was truly breathtaking; its all-wood structure, unpainted, exudes a strong sense of historical gravitas and is well worth a visit. Fushimi Inari Shrine was just average. Time was a bit tight at the final attractions, such as Gion, but given it was a day trip, it's impossible to see everything. It would have been perfect if the driver/guide had provided brief introductions to each attraction beforehand.
