Reviews: Tokyo Nikko World Heritage Temple + Lake Chuzenji + Kegon Falls + Iroha Road Day Trip

Lots of time at the shrine and waterfall. Not a lot of time at the lake. We got 20mins to see the lake. We were able to see the shrine, bridge, and Kanmangafuchi Abyss with the time given. The shrine is touristy and was really busy when we got there. The day of tour was rainy, so we were not able to see the waterfall. Make sure to have cash for the shrine, waterfall, and lunch. We used 5000 yen for 2 people. Would recommend closer to 8-10k yen in cash for this tour. Our guide, Yuma, was great. She has learned Mandarin and English!
Reviews: Tokyo Nikko world heritage tour | 1-day tour to Toshogu shrine + Lake Chūzenji + Kegon waterfalls

I was a little worried because it was Saturday, but the tour started and finished right on time, which I really appreciated. Our guide, Yuma, was great. She had to switch between English, Mandarin, and Japanese throughout the tour, which must have been demanding. I was the only Korean participant, but she explained everything clearly in easy-to-understand English and provided helpful background information about each destination. It rained that day, so the morning was a little chilly. I recommend bringing a light windbreaker on a similar day. During our free time, Yuma kept us updated through WhatsApp, sharing our location and recommending good places to eat. I really appreciated her attentiveness. The tour was informative and enjoyable. I also tried the yuba restaurant she recommended, and it was absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a worthwhile tour, and I would definitely recommend it!
Reviews: 1-day tour to Nikko world heritage: Toshogu shrine & Lake Chūzenji & Kegon waterfalls & optional hot spring bath

This trip was absolutely amazing. Toshogu Shrine is a World Heritage Site. Unlike typical Japanese aesthetics, it is resplendent and extremely luxurious, conveying behavioral principles through sculptures. The most famous is the use of monkeys to represent Confucius's teachings: "Do not look at what is improper, do not listen to what is improper, do not speak what is improper." Kegon Waterfall is crystal clear, its spray like shattered jade. Lake Chuzenji is serene and breathtaking, reminiscent of Switzerland. The Irohazaka Slope is thrilling and unforgettable. Our guide, Zhao, has superb driving skills, navigating corners with impeccable smoothness, comparable to a racing legend.
