This was our first trip to Japan as a family of four. We traveled independently and only did a one-day bus tour. Our guide, Seokbong Oh, told us so many interesting stories that we couldn't hear anywhere else, and the tour schedule was also great. It was the most fulfilling day of our trip to Japan. He even recommended a good restaurant, making it a truly happy day.^^โ

The day trip was a great experience; the itinerary was well-planned and the pace was relaxed and not rushed. We met at the agreed-upon location, and the entire journey was quiet and peaceful. Most importantly, no one kept asking for a review after the trip, which was excellent. It would have been even better if the driver had provided some commentary along the way.โ

1๏ธโฃ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
โ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ยฅ720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
โ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2๏ธโฃ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
โ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
โ Rent a bicycle (ยฅ500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3๏ธโฃ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
โ Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ยฅ800).
โ Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!โ

Since my travel schedule was short, I was debating between Universal and Kyoto day tours, and I chose the Kyoto day tour and went, and it was so fulfilling and great~ Especially at the Deer Park, my child had fun interacting with the deer and said he wanted to go to the Deer Park again~^^ Our guide, Haehwa, was kind and talked a lot with us, and it was a comfortable tour~ My legs hurt from walking a lot the day before, but it was great to be able to rest during the travel time and also do the tour~ It was worth booking at a place with a lot of reservations^^โ

This itinerary is highly recommended! ๐ Visiting temples is a common part of any trip to Japan, and they're often quite similar, but Katsuo-ji Temple is exceptionally beautiful and uniquely designed. The temple grounds are filled with adorable little Daruma dolls placed throughout. This itinerary also includes outlet shopping for bargains. After walking around the outlet, our legs were sore, so we immediately headed to a hot spring resort for a foot bath. Having visited Osaka several times, this day trip still offers fresh sights and great flexibility. Finally, a shout-out to our Beijing friend, Mr. Cheng, for providing a safe and comfortable ride. He chatted with us throughout the journey, and we'll definitely use him again next time!๎ฅ
