This gave us some great options to see sights I. Osaka and some welcome respite from the heat while we waited for check-in at the hotel. The Umeda sky Garden was definitely worth a visit. This allowed us free entry. We didn’t get to use the metro QR code because the ticket didn’t allow use of JR routes and that was most useful for us.

A great way to get from Kansai Airport to Osaka Namba! Plenty of empty seats, pleasantly cool, and a quick ride. I booked seats for 7:00 PM. I was able to complete all the formalities earlier. I was supposed to be able to rebook for a different time, but something went wrong. So, I rebooked. Boarded the train and went. During the journey, when the ticket inspectors checked, it turned out that the time and seats I had originally reserved remained. Nevertheless, the inspectors said it was OK. Especially since there were plenty of empty seats.

Buying through Ctrip was very convenient, and the prices were more affordable than other places during promotions. We exchanged our tickets for reserved seats at the airport and then used our 5-day wide-area pass to visit the Honshu region, which we had never been to before. We also rode the adorable panda-themed train – a fantastic experience!

I was in a hurry to get to Umeda, so I chose the Haruka train, which is direct. I used an e-ticket, which I registered on the JR West website and entered by pasting my ticket number. After immigration, I simply selected a reserved seat according to my time, which was very convenient. To board the train, I went up to the second floor after immigration to the tram platform. I entered through the JR gate and queued for the ground-level Haruka carriage.

It was confirmed quickly. The key point is that you need to find the JR West ticket machine next to the Shinkansen entrance at Hakata Station to exchange your ticket. If you go to the wrong JR Kyushu station, you can't exchange it there. Also, the sushi set you can redeem with the Fun Pass is quite generous, with clam miso soup and 8 pieces of sushi. It's right above Kokura Station, which is very convenient.

Everything went fine, the ticket opened, and when leaving the pass area, I showed it on my phone and the ticket to the station, but this needs to be done through the employees.
