Reviews: Alhambra: Fast Track Ticket + Audio Guide
Guest User2026-06-21
I tried to book tickets for two friends visiting the Alhambra Palace for the first time on the official website the month before departure, but there were no tickets available for either the Nazareth Palace or regular tickets. So I searched for this option and made a reservation. It was a time-slot wired entrance ticket with an audio guide, costing around 5000 yen per person. It was a shame that the ticket didn't include entry to the Nazareth Palace, but I was glad we could at least enter. As for where to exchange the tickets, as described, we went to the travel agency next to the hotel. We arrived at 9:30, but there was already a line of people who seemed to have made reservations, and I was worried whether we would be able to pick up our tickets by 10:00. There were no staff members to explain things, and all we could do was stand in line and wait, which was tiring. When it was finally our turn, we showed the QR code and were given an explanation of the tickets and audio guide. According to the explanation, we could choose to either download an app to our own smartphones and listen, or rent a smartphone with earphones. If we chose to rent a smartphone, the deposit would be refunded upon return, but we had to pay a 50 euro deposit and return to the same place at the end to return it. Using your own smartphone can be inconvenient as the battery runs out and you can't take pictures. It's also surprisingly difficult to select numbers at key points and listen to explanations while walking, so my friends ended up walking without the guide partway through. While Japanese is available as an option, and it's certainly great if you have plenty of time to explore at a leisurely pace, I think you can skip the audio guide if you read a guidebook or smartphone beforehand. In any case, if you've decided to go to Granada and want to enter the Alhambra Palace, the most reliable method is to book tickets online through the official website as early as possible. It's also the easiest method, as you don't need to go to a travel agency; you simply show the QR code on your smartphone at the entrance. I really hope that travel agencies will consider more efficient methods, such as implementing a numbered ticket system or increasing staff, to avoid making people stand in long, confusing lines and exhausting them before even entering the Alhambra Palace. Nevertheless, I'm glad my friends were able to enjoy the Alhambra thanks to our priority entry tickets. Thank you!
