We really enjoyed our guide, Chris, and especially Larnach Castle. It was great that he was able to guide us through the castle where often times a guide will just drop you off at a location and have you look around on your own.

The route was well planned, with interesting stops. The only thing I didn't like was that the guide and driver were the same person. At times, it was difficult for him to drive and give a good overview, even though he tried his best. The bus was large, but we managed to see everything, but we didn't get much information.

Toured in a small van to private farm on Otago Peninsula. Our guide Paula was friendly and kind and knows everything about penguins! We visited the fur seal colony and saw sea lions on the beach. Also lots of sheep and lambs, and Paula pointed out the native birds. The landscape is stunningly beautiful. We had a great time.

My husband and I had a lovely visit to Larnach Castle & gardens, the castle is full of history and the views from the turret are breathtaking. The gardens are beautiful, I would highly recommend a visit to this location.


