Reviews: Port Elizabeth: City and Coastal Tour

A very nice tour through Port Elizabeth, taking in all the designated sights. Terryn, our guide, was calm and extremely friendly. There was plenty of time everywhere, and all our questions were answered. The route along the coast to the lighthouse was also very beautiful. On the way back, the residents' event on the beach was another highlight. Thank you for the lovely and informative day. Best regards from Heike and Uli

From start to finish our day has been amazing. We were picked up at 7:45 from our hotel in Port Elizabeth and shared our truck with 1 other couple. The truck and driver, Steve, were ours for the whole day. It only took about 35 mins to reach Addo and our game drive began. The drivers are in touch with each other to share locations of animals. We saw about 100 elephants, lots of zebra and warthogs, even lion cubs! Also different antelopes, a buffalo, a rhino, jackals and tortoise. We spoke to people on self drive and they hadn’t seen a single elephant. The park is huge so the drivers knowledge makes the difference. Steve was very knowledgeable about all the animals and birds and could answer every question we had We stopped for tea/coffee and biscuits at 10am, then at midday we arrived at the braai area and Steve grilled us an amazing lunch. The salads and breads had been made by a chef and were accompanied by sausages, steak and chicken kebabs from the grill. There was wine, beer and soft drinks flowing. Each guide had their own table area with tablecloths, plates, glasses, cutlery etc but there were a few groups do it was a lovely lunch chatting to the visitors from the other trucks and we were a multi national group. Mid afternoon we stopped again for a break, there was cold water available all day long. We left the park at 5pm and Steve had us back at our hotel in PE just after 5:30pm. A truly amazing day
Reviews: Addo Elephant National Park Full Day Safari

We just returned from our day with Joel. He picked us up from the Cruise Ship dock in a 22 seat vehicle in which he only takes 11 people max so everyone can have a window seat and switch sides easily depending on the animal activity. We were only 7 so had lots of space. The animals in Addo were plentiful if not too varied that day, but we enjoyed watching all that we saw. They were so easy to see and photograph- Joel made sure we all had the best opportunity possible for viewing in this great natural setting. Joel’s skills at the braai for lunch were over the top! Such a thoughtful and delicious meal in the middle of the park is something we won’t soon forget. Joel is a great host and ambassador for Addo. We enjoyed his company and were so impressed with his hospitality. Supporting an independent business was especially gratifying for us too.

Otto took excellent care of us and tried to spot all the animals for us. The picnic was also superb. All in all, highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the day in Addo. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. It was definitely better than a self drive because you learnt so much about the park and animals. Would definitely recommend.
