Reviews: Salzburg City Card
Guest User2026-02-14
I used the Salzburg Card during my stay in Salzburg, and it turned out to be one of the best purchases of the trip. The card is available for 24, 48 or 72 hours, and I chose the 48-hour option, which gave me enough time to see a huge number of attractions without constantly worrying about ticket prices. The biggest benefit is that it includes one-time free admission to nearly all major tourist sights and museums in the city, along with free use of public transport (except the S-Bahn), plus additional discounts on concerts and excursions. At several attractions you can also use a fast entrance, which saves time during busy periods. Just visiting a couple of museums would already justify buying the card, but using it for this many attractions made it exceptional value. Not having to queue for tickets each time also made sightseeing feel smoother and far more relaxed — you can simply walk in and enjoy.
