Although we weren't able to see the aurora, it seems that you can make a free reservation for a later date. It was great that they guided us to a spot where the aurora is easily visible.

I had many booking channels, but ultimately chose Ctrip because their Black Diamond membership makes communication easier with any issues. The visit itself was fine; three hours was about right—just enough time to experience and see what the glacier was like. It was pretty good, and the photos turned out quite well.
