The food and accommodation were excellent overall, especially the hotel arrangements, which were very satisfactory. The itinerary was fairly standard, just average, but acceptable. I gained a lot and had wonderful memories. The local guide in Thailand was excellent, though he was a full-time guide. His attitude was okay, but he seemed a bit hands-off.

Our guide, Qiu Lei, provided detailed explanations, recommended local delicacies, and led us through the charming and auspicious Nyoi-ji Temple (Frog Shrine) in Fukuoka 🐸, the Beppu Sea Hell Hot Spring and the Kamado Hell Hot Spring (above 100 degrees Celsius) in Oita Prefecture ♨, where we experienced a foot bath, visited the shimmering Kinrin Lake, and the Yufuin Garden filled with koi carp and souvenir shops. It was a truly memorable and worthwhile trip.

Five stars for our tour guide Thomas! He was fluent in both English and Chinese, super knowledgeable about every location, and recommended fantastic dining spots. I highly recommend everyone try this JR Pass, as it is extremely convenient and worth it, especially for solo travellers. It can help you save a lot on transportation costs. However, make sure to check your itinerary carefully, as this JR Pass does not cover every attraction or area, and some places may require local trains instead.
