Reviews: Heritage Pass

The castle can be visited on foot at low tide or by the amphibious ferry - we opted for the latter and the price was included in the Heritage Pass. The castle itself was intriguing with history to explore from a variety of eras, including Elizabthan (Sir Walter Raleigh resided there as the island's governor), the Battle of Jersey and Second World War when the occupying Germans added their own fortifications to the original structure. Our tour guide Daphne was brilliant and told us loads of information. I would definitely recommend a tour if available when you go. If you are staying in Jersey for a week or more, the Jersey Heritage Pass is a must. Very reasonably priced for two castles and three varying museums. Plenty of fun for all ages.
