Reviews: Gjirokastra UNESCO city & Blue Eye - From Tirana/Durres

Very full, rich day visiting the Gjirokastra Castle and town, and the Blue Eye. Our tour guide Dave (Dejvi) was great: personable, enthusiastic, told many stories and history on the way that made the long drive fly by. We also stopped at a gas station market/cafe once everyone was picked up to use the restroom and get coffee and other snacks. I thought the tour was well organized, all communication was through WhatsApp, Dejvi shared his location so it was easy to coordinate with everyone. Also it was a small group size of 8 people total, which was very pleasant.
The castle tour was the first stop, which was very interesting and had beautiful views/photo opportunities. We got 2 hours free time after the castle visit to go to the bazaar and get some food. Our last stop was Blue Eye. It rained a bit during the blue eye visit, but Dejvi really made the best of the situation and everyone had a nice time despite the weather. Overall great trip! fully recommend. we spent 45mins at blue eye (plenty of time) and about an hour at the castle (in time for sunset). guide was great and transport was fine too. no complaints★

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Ilir, was very knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much about Albania’s history from him, and the places we visited were absolutely beautiful, especially the Blue Eye.★

The guide was fantastic! He was super helpful, patient, and friendly. He took his time explaining everything to us at each stop. He was on time for pick-up and even helped us exchange currency. Oh, and he took us to a really nice restaurant on the way to Ksamil 😁we paid for our meals but help understanding the menus.We had an amazing time on the tour, and we really appreciate all your help.
