Reviews: Abel Tasman National Park: Cruise, Walk & Sailing Tour

A really lovely trip, with good explanations beforehand and lots to see. On Adele Island I thought the one minute we had to spot, see and possibly photograph the seals was far too short, especially as the boat was only positioned on one side of the rocks, meaning we on the leeward side had little chance of seeing anything. Otherwise it was very well organised. The route is only easy for fit people; older people didn't have it so easy with the sloping paths and tricky tree roots. The view is remarkable. The fact that we had a lull in the wind for half the trip on the catamaran and then a storm in the second half was just due to the weather. Make sure you bring warm clothes!

A nice way to get a look at the Abel Tasman national park from the ocean side. Will the guide delivered information at every opportunity with a casual demeanour and the commentary clear and friendly. Really felt we had great value.

Thanks to Emma and Zak it was a perfect tour for me. I have never done kayaking before, and to do that on the open water was a little scary. However, it all came together and I had a great time! Zak has a way of making people welcome and tries to set up a connection with the team while explaining the tour, the gear etc. Considering the amount of people you see every day, that is quite an exception! Emma, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel safe and diffused any worries while on the water (we had some waves and quite a bit of wind) just by kayaking closer to us and having a chat with us for distraction. She was also very friendly and helpful! she knew so much about the history of the places, the birds, the rocks, the trees and why the water sparkles in that area😁 I can full heartedly recommend R&R Kayaking! You guys are the best!

The kayak was super fun. Emma was a blast, funny and educational, and she sent us several pics of us that she took. The trek back was lovely.
