I'm very grateful to Ctrip for making it so convenient to buy international train tickets. I printed out the QR code and brought it with me. I redeemed my ticket at the white machine at the JR entrance of Terminal 1 at Kansai Airport. The machine has a Chinese language option. After redeeming my ticket, I entered the station through the manual channel and took the escalator down one level to Platform 3, which is where the Hello Kitty shuttle bus is located.

The round trip ticket is combined into 1 ticket, so you have to go to the ticket counter to tell them that you'll be using the other ticket for a different date. This is cheaper than buying on site, and always I had no issues.
