Reviews: Kyoto: Tea Museum Tickets and Matcha Grinding Experience
Guest User2026-01-28
I had such an amazing experience at the Kyoto Tea Museum tea grinding session! From start to finish, the staff were welcoming and patient, guiding us through each step of the process with clear explanations and genuine enthusiasm. I especially enjoyed learning about the history and importance of matcha in Japanese culture before trying my hand at grinding the tea leaves myself — it was both relaxing and surprisingly fun! The setup was beautiful and peaceful, making it easy to really focus and enjoy the moment. By the end, I had made some delicious matcha of my own, and it tasted even better knowing how much care and tradition goes into every step. Highly recommended for tea lovers and anyone visiting Kyoto!

Although the direct flight is tired, it saves the trouble of connecting flights. Although the hotel may be full of free choice, if you have done enough homework, you can still book a hotel with a high cost performance.

Our tour guide Nobumasa Miyake was great and provided cultural knowledge to our experience. We definitely recommend this! Arigato 🇯🇵
Reviews: [Official Ticket] JR PASS Kansai Area 1/2/3/4-Day Rail Pass - Electronic Redemption Voucher (Includes HARUKA, Keihan Railway, Hankyu Railway, Kyoto Subway)

This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.
