I reserved this tour at the last moment and I didn't regret. If it's a full day but we covered a lot of ground to see 4 medieval villages. The guide Xavi was excellent. I knew everything needed to know about the villages. And very patient with a mixed group in English and Castle.

My husband and I took a private tour with Xavier, who was both a great driver and a very informative and knowledgeable tour guide. He shared in depth knowledge of the history, the land, the people, the buildings and the languages spoken. He brought us to the old quarters of each town and gave us information about the architecture and history each village. We felt we were transported to centuries past. We highly recommend this tour!★

Our tour guide Valeria (Valerie) was so amazing and helped us into the right bus when we were lost.
She was very helpful and knew just what she was doing, and even offered extra things like taking pictures for us to make sure that our phones were safe.
When we arrived and the whole bus/train ride up, the views were so stunning. The little stalls and shops in Montserrat were fantastic as well, and we got some great, cheap souvenirs.
Overall, everything was amazing, but Valeria, she truly made the trip great!★

This is a major tourist destination. It was the most crowded site on our entire vacation, so paying for a guide and a skip the line pass is practically required. It was also the most expensive tour for just over an hour with a guide. I think it's almost necessary for a first-time visitor...I'm not sure I would do it again, though.★
