Reviews: From Antigua: Pacaya Volcano Tour in English/Spanish

The bus ride started off very bumpy, but that's to be expected with the roads in Antigua. The rest of the journey to Pacaya was okay. It wasn't exactly a comfortable bus ride. The hike with our guides was fantastic. Everyone was looked after and treated with consideration. The view and the landscape up there are definitely worth it. I can recommend the afternoon hike, as we were treated to a magnificent sunset! The only downside was that three horses were also brought along. They were presumably meant for people who couldn't manage the climb. However, we constantly had to overtake horses or were overtaken by them along the narrow paths. That was definitely dangerous and inconsiderate. What's more, the guys with the horses were annoying, trying to pressure us into getting on with their shouts of "Taxi!" That would certainly have cost extra.

The climb to Pacaya was more difficult than I expected, but it was totally worth it for the views and the marshmallows. The whole tour went according to plan.
