Half the trip is just getting there and back which left only about 1-1/2 hours per place. But it was a beautiful (although hot) day with great views of the countryside.
It is impossible to see All of Warwick in less than 3 or four hrs. We saw the main castle area quickly, climbed the ramparts and narrow steep staircase to the top of the towers. Others picked the jousting. Apparently there was a huge trebuchet somewhere too.
Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon house tour did not need too much time to go through but neat to get a historical sense of things and also to see the building construction. The surrounding area was touristy as expected but pleasant.
The Cotswold part of it I felt a bit misleading, though I may not have read something close enough
We did not stop, or even slow down enough to take a good picture of a thatched roof. (Sigh). I understand that the locals must not like tourists much, but the tour company should be clearer about that. ( as well as the very limited visit times)
Tour guide Calvin was very good and entertaining.
