Advantages: Strong water flow and significant drop, making it very exciting. Disadvantages: Perhaps due to the weekend, it gets very crowded, leading to disorganization and safety hazards as everyone is packed into the river. Also, the showers and changing areas are too small and basic. It would be much better if it were more upscale, like a traditional hot spring resort.★

For convenience, I chose this organized trip to make a quick visit to these parts of the Pamirs. There are two stops to visit the two lakes, each lasting an hour. The rest of the trip is a transfer with the usual service stops, but it couldn't be otherwise given the distances involved and the type of connecting road. In any case, it's worth it. I'm Italian and was the only non-Chinese person on the trip, but using my phone's translator was no problem. I obtained the border pass the day before, and the tour organizers contacted me with all the necessary information. Overall, highly recommended for anyone wanting a quick visit to these parts.★

I went on this tour today and at first I was nervous about it because my Chinese skills are still in progress, but right away the company, our driver, and the other group members made me feel at ease. Everyone included me and they all tried their best to help me understand when my language skills were lacking. Our driver, Mister Chen, was incredibly friendly and he made sure to ask us what we preferred every step of the way. He gave sound advice on suggested activities and allowed us plenty of time to explore each place and take as many photos as we wanted. There was never any sense of being rushed like on big group tours. Mister Chen even bought us a watermelon to share at lunch time which was so thoughtful! If you take this tour, I’d highly recommend you request him! The tour is very well planned and there was clear communication throughout. Overall this was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone!
