For Chinese travelers, I still recommend buying a physical roaming SIM card in China for convenience. If you're living abroad like me and have just bought a mainland China version phone, I suggest buying a physical SIM card locally. You can also buy an eSIM card changer.

This trip went to a more remote place, but the reception was better and smoother than expected, although there were some places on the way where there was no signal, but in the city it was no problem.
