Things to do in Faku

Wulong Mountain in Faku is a well-known scenic spot in northern Liaoning. The mountain is not high and the scenery is pretty good. It can be circled in half a day. Some historical relics such as Biyun Palace and Seven Pagodas are preserved in the mountain. Among them, the three-story hall of Biyun Palace is the only remaining Yuan Dynasty building in Northeast China.

Wushu City is one of the four ancient buildings of Liao and Jin Dynasty. It is located in Tiaobinshan Scenic Area, 35 kilometers west of Tieling City and 96 kilometers from Shenyang. There is a Mingyue Zen Temple in Wushu City Park, which is a Buddhist resort in Northeast China. It has the Mountain Gate Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Main Hall, Guanyin Hall, and Ksitigarbha Hall, which are simple and magnificent.

It was great. There were many people there when I went, which was quite impressive. The scenery inside was also very nice, the architecture was great, and the transportation was very convenient.

Ren Diwang, the guide at Shenyang Imperial Palace, was extremely professional. He was well-versed in early Qing Dynasty history, and his explanations of the historical sites of the Dazheng Hall, Qingning Palace, and Phoenix Tower, as well as the unique architectural features blending Manchu and Han styles, were captivating and engaging, rather than simply reading from a script. The route was well-planned, the pace relaxed, and he reminded visitors to be careful on the steps, patiently answering all questions. While exploring on my own, I could only see the architecture; after the guided tour, the artifacts and history instantly came alive, making the experience incredibly rewarding. Five stars!

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

Overall, it's pretty good. Once you get there, you can rent a car. I didn't know how to drive at first, but with my years of driving experience, I learned quickly. This saves energy. You can download an app, locate yourself, and check out the attractions and waiting times. Boys might like the Dinosaur Extinction attraction, as well as some thrilling rides. Some attractions require separate fees, such as the Ice and Snow World and the Petting Zoo!

I was truly healed by the forest oxygen bar in this city. ✅ Goddess Square: The main landmark, with a musical fountain show on the hour ⛲️ ✅ Reservoir Dam: The best viewing spot around the lake, a filming location for the movie "The World," absolutely stunning at sunset. ✅ Black Pine Forest: Tall, straight black pines reaching for the sky; a short walk along the wooden boardwalk after getting off the bus creates great photo opportunities. The park is very large; I didn't get to explore the whole thing.

We took our kids back to China for summer vacation and had our first experience at a Northeastern Chinese bathhouse. We absolutely loved all the facilities and services. Children under 1.4 meters tall get in for free, making it incredibly good value for money. If we have the chance, we'll definitely bring our family and friends to experience this top-tier bathhouse in China!

Mingyue Zen Temple is located at the foot of Wushu Peak in Diaobingshan City, Tieling. It is built on the mountain. The Zen Temple was rebuilt in 2000. This architectural complex with typical northern royal garden architectural style is a Buddhist holy place in Northeast China.

Qipanshan is a famous mountain in Shenyang City. It has a wildlife park, a film and television city, a World Horticultural Exposition Garden, many villa areas, and an outlet town. The scenery is beautiful, but it is quite far to get into the scenic area. During holidays, it is often impossible to drive in or out.
