I feel so blessed for having been able to make a pilgrimage to see the Ruiying Temple near Fuxin Town in Liaoning Province... China. The temple is magnificent and has many beautiful buildings and Chorten (Stupa). The temple appears to be expanding, as there were at least three buildings being built or renovated while I was there. The main focus of my visit to this temple was to attain the presence of His Holiness the Seventh Living Buddha. It was a magical experience. My friend Kang bought me a silk "Khata" scarf to offer to the Buddha.I waited until most of the other pilgrims had been up to see him. I notice each pilgrim taking a piece of fruit from a table near the door as they left.As I approached Him... I felt a tremendous serenity emanating from him. I approached and offered my Khata, which was taken by a monk and placed across the altar table in front of the Buddha. When He looked into my eyes... I KNEW I was in the presence of an enlightened being. How else to explain? I have felt this way but twice in my life: Once with a Mevlevi (Whirling Dervish) Shaykh who visited Houston's Rothko Chapel.; and the second time... when I was hugged my "Amma", the living saint from India who travels the world offering Compassionate Hugs to everyone who approaches her.The Living Buddha smiled So Lovingly. He motioned for a monk to bring an apple from the altar, which he gave to me. Then he placed a necklace over my head. It bore his likeness. Thirdly, He put a Khata over me shoulders. I was overcome with emotion, and He watched me... lovingly as I left His presence.Kang knew something had happened when he saw my tear-stained cheeks.I noticed that No other pilgrim had spent as much time with the Buddha... nor had they received His personal attention, an apple, or the scarf. I felt truly blessed.

Fuxin is a resource-based city closely related to coal. Among the 156 key construction projects in the country during the First Five-Year Plan period, 4 coal-fired power projects were built in Fuxin. Among them, Haizhou Open-Pit Coal Mine and Fuxin Power Plant were the largest open-pit coal mine and thermal power plant in Asia at the time, making Fuxin one of the earliest energy bases established in New China. With the depletion of coal resources, the Haizhou Open-Pit Coal Mine, which has a mining history of nearly 100 years, finally went bankrupt and closed on May 30, 2005. The Haizhou Open-Pit Mine Park was established. In the same year, it was listed as one of the first 28 national mine parks in the country by the Ministry of National Resources.

When I was young, the school would organize people to pay tribute to the martyrs on Liberation Day. After many years, it was abandoned for a while, and then it was renovated again. Patriotic education sites cannot be abandoned.

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

I rode a shared bike along Zhongjie Street in Shenyang to get to the Shenyang Imperial Palace. The street was really lively, but apparently, you can't park bikes along the way; you have to go around to a farther area to park. It seems that the city center commercial street isn't suitable for shared bikes. The next morning, I walked back to Zhongjie Street. There weren't many people on the street that morning. I saw Liu Laogen Grand Stage, but when I turned into the Imperial Palace, there was already a long queue waiting for it to open.

Qipanshan is a famous mountain in Shenyang City. It has a wildlife park, a film and television city, a World Horticultural Exposition Garden, many villa areas, and an outlet town. The scenery is beautiful, but it is quite far to get into the scenic area. During holidays, it is often impossible to drive in or out.

Xingcheng Ancient City truly lives up to its reputation as one of the four best-preserved ancient cities from the Ming Dynasty in my country. The Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture and cultural features within the city showcase the grandeur of a historical and cultural city. The ancient city walls and barbican are remarkably well-preserved. Overall, it's well worth a visit; combining modern humanistic concepts with a blend of ancient and modern atmosphere, it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

Hongshan Museum and Hongshan Park are adjacent to each other, the origin of the city's name Chifeng, and also a landmark scenic spot. It's best to visit in the afternoon, as the setting sun casts a vibrant red glow on the mountains, making for stunning photos. The museum displays artifacts unearthed from the ancient Hongshan Culture, the most famous being the jade dragon, a symbol of Chifeng. The original is currently housed in the National Museum of China, but here it's shown as a 3D projection. The park is now a public park for Chifeng residents, where many people spend holidays.
