Vila Vella is a charming coastal town located on the Mediterranean coast, approx. 100 km north of Barcelona. The town nestles in a horseshoe-shaped blue bay, and medieval stone walls stand on the high ground at the end of the main beach. The main beach is gentle and open, suitable for swimming. You can rent water sports equipment on the other side of the bay, and a quieter, smaller beach is hidden behind the city walls. A trail passes right through the town, and hiking along the coastal cliffs allows you to explore nearby coves. The town still retains small-scale fishing, with the catch mostly supplied to local restaurants. Enjoying Catalan-style seafood dishes paired with local wine while sitting by the sea is particularly pleasant. For a different perspective, you can take a glass-bottom boat out to sea to see schools of fish and sea caves through the bottom of the boat. Summer is suitable for a beach vacation, while spring and autumn are better for hiking and exploring history.Tossa de Mar · 30.7 km from Girona

It is a street worth strolling slowly. The street is not very wide and has a lot of style. There are beautiful buildings around it, and there are also many unique restaurants. It is also a very lively place.

The bridge itself is actually quite simple and ordinary, but it matches the style of this small town perfectly. The small river flows underneath, and there are brightly colored houses on both sides. With this bright red iron bridge, it looks quite good.

Tossa is really a very suitable town for vacation. The water is super clear. There are restaurants and hotels along the coastline, and there are many choices. It is a summer resort. October is their last busy month. Some restaurants and hotels have closed down. Although the outdoor temperature is still over 20 degrees, the water feels super cold when you go in. The stone town at the end of the beach is the best viewing platform in the town. It is not too tiring to climb up, and there is no extra charge. The view and scenery are good.

I took photos of the Sagrada Familia at dawn and sunset from the hotel. My reservation for the Sagrada Familia was for evening, and I also booked a ticket to climb the tower, but it felt a bit overpriced because it wasn't fully finished yet; there was construction everywhere, and the view of Barcelona from the top of the tower was quite limited. The interior of the Sagrada Familia is truly breathtaking, like a fantasy world, futuristic and fantastical. Being inside feels like God is from another world, a highly advanced civilization. The rose windows display a mottled array of colors; the Nativity façade on the east side is bathed in a cool blue-green light in the morning, while the Passion façade on the west side is bathed in warm orange-red light in the evening, constantly changing with the sunlight, a testament to the wonder of light and shadow. In the evening, the sunlight streams through the rose windows on the west side, filling the hall with orange-yellow light. The stone columns, like giant trees reaching for the sky, create a fantastical forest. Looking up at the sky, the branches of the columns intertwine to form chrysanthemums, blooming across the heavens. The Sagrada Familia is definitely worth a visit to experience Gaudí's fantastical artistry. The Sagrada Família is the soul of Barcelona, Spain. It is an unfinished World Heritage site that Gaudí poured 43 years of his heart and soul into. Construction began in 1882, and the Jesus Christ Tower (172.5 meters) was completed in February 2026. On June 10, the Pope presided over the consecration ceremony, making it the tallest church tower in the world.

It's best to go for photos when the sun is shining. They offer free audio guides with headphones, which is very convenient. They even have Chinese-language audio guides available. You can see the Sagrada Familia from the rooftop. Pretty good.

beautiful views but there’s no maps around the garden so easy to get lost since it’s so big. would’ve also liked a guide or description of the plants to learn from.
