The park is a historic national park in Sarawak, famous for its Seasnack stones, pitcher plants and wild monkeys. Cliffs, horns, bays, beaches, etc. are widely distributed in the park, with various landforms. After thousands of years of sea water erosion, the park is distributed with cliffs, horns, bays, beaches and other landforms. The world-renowned animals such as long-armed monkeys, long-tailed macaques, and silver langurs are the protagonists of the park. The original tropical rainforest and dense mangroves also make it worthy of being one of the oldest rainforests in the world.Kuching · 23.8 km from downtown

Fairy Caves is a cave full of mysterious legends. It is unknown whether there are gods living in it, but the scenery inside the cave is breathtaking. The reason why Xiandong is called "Xiandong" is because there is a stalactite that looks like the Goddess of Mercy, a god statue about 3 feet high, wearing ancient robes and hats, looking down at the coming worshipers. Another stalactite is an old man in a bent knee position. The fairy cave is about three stories high. Beautiful natural products and strangely shaped stalactites and stalagmites can be seen inside the cave. Climb up the steps from the entrance to the entrance about 3 stories above the ground. Although there is a weak light source inside, the line of sight is still poor. Some must have climbing movements. Be careful when walking. There are unique caves in the cave. The natural cliffs and rock formations, the stalactite pillars of various shapes, the dripping water that never dries up, the dark and undulating paths, and the cool breeze blowing on the face, are like the secret base for the cultivation of the legendary masters outside the world. Behind these strange rocks and rocks are often given mysterious tasks or roles. It is said that local people, especially the Chinese, pray for the safety of their families, so incense candles, offerings or altars often appear in the cave, adding to the mystery of the cave.Bau · 5.7 km from downtown

I had a fabulous trek into Bako National Park, even though the weather didn’t fully cooperate. It was raining when I arrived, so unfortunately I didn’t get to see much wildlife along the trails but just as I made my way back to the base, I was lucky enough to spot one of Bako’s famous residents: the bearded pig!Getting there was an adventure in itself. I took a cab straight from my hotel to the Bako terminal to register. I felt super lucky because, as I arrived, I found a group of friendly strangers who had one slot left on their boat. Sharing with them saved me a lot of money, I only paid RM 40 for the round-trip boat ride instead of having to pay the full RM 200 if you don’t find anyone to share with. So if you’re planning to go solo, try to team up with other travelers at the terminal, it’s a great way to save some ringgit and meet new people!Once I got there, the rain had just stopped, so I decided to hike up Telok Pandan Besar and Telok Pandan Kecil. The first part of the trail was quite challenging, with steep slopes that really gave my legs a workout. But the views and the sense of adventure made it totally worth it.If you ever come to Kuching, I definitely recommend setting aside a day for Bako National Park. It’s such a unique place — you’ll feel like you’re stepping into another world of dense jungle, hidden beaches, and the chance to spot amazing wildlife.

Serenity by the Sarawak: My Morning Escape at Kuching WaterfrontEnjoyed a lovely late morning stroll along the Sarawak River with beautiful views of the legislative assembly building. The area was quiet and relaxing with few people around - perfect for some peaceful downtime. Appreciated the benches under shady trees where you can sit and enjoy the cool river breeze. A simple but pleasant way to experience Kuching's riverside charm without crowds. Great spot for: - Leisurely walks - Quiet contemplation - Enjoying river views - Escaping the city bustle No frills, just a nice public space by the water. Ideal for travelers looking for a calm moment in between sightseeing. --- Note: Visit in morning/evening for best temperatures

The Sarawak waterfront water display is an enthralling spectacle that merits a solid 4 out of 5 stars in my book. A visual feast is created by the choreography of water jets against the backdrop of Sarawak's magnificent shoreline. The presentation incorporates cultural themes flawlessly, conveying a story through the interaction of lights, music, and water. The precision of the water movements is evident, and the brilliant colours bring a sense of magic to the night. The reflection of the display on the water's surface lends an added dimension of beauty to the waterfront's overall mood. While the spectacle is great, there were a few times that felt slightly repetitious, keeping it from receiving a perfect grade. Nonetheless, for locals, the Sarawak waterfront water display is a must-see.
