I'm not a history buff, so take that into account. That said, it was neat to see the fort, but it only took about 5 minutes to see it and be done. The views from the site got a lot more of my attention and are worth a visit! So don't write it off, just know what to expect. I walked the beach to get there from Popham State Park, and it's a fantastic beach walk that is totally worth it as well.

Only 16% of the mountain was open, but it didn’t stop us from two extremely full days of enjoying new terrain. It was great not dealing with lines, crowds and the other inevitable parts of the busier parts of ski season. Will have to come back to hit the famous back bowls, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Lots of great exhibits and the animals look well cared for. I would love for more non zoo attractions and services. More food stands for instance.
