【View】An impressive and magnificent castle. During our visit, access to some areas was restricted due to ongoing restoration work, but this did not diminish our enjoyment of the site. There is a museum within the castle with several layers of Welsh and British history. Also interesting is an 8-minute film about the history of the castle, which is a fantastic addition to your overall experience. Large paid parking lot behind the castle, with ample parking and free toilets nearby

在🇬🇧英国北威尔士🏴当地人引以为豪，耳熟能详地标性建筑，Menai Bridge梅奈悬索桥（Menai Suspension Bridge）必列其中。乘车无数次经过，也买过大桥明信片，今天7月14日，周一傍晚7：00首次跟随本地徒步团走该座大桥下近距离拍照拍视频以了却几年来的一个心愿。下面搜集整理该大桥资料。 梅奈悬索桥：这座桥由托马斯·特尔福德设计，于1819年开始建造，1826年完工。它横跨梅奈海峡，连接威尔士大陆的班戈和安格尔西岛，全长417米，中跨176米。桥面最初为木质，1893年更换为钢制，1938年为增加桥梁的承重限制，铁链被更换为钢缆。它是世界上第一座重要的现代悬索桥，对桥梁工程行业产生了深远影响。梅奈海峡：是分隔安格尔西岛与威尔士大陆的狭窄水道，长约25公里，最宽处仅1公里多，最窄处只有400米，看起来像一条潮汐河。在梅奈悬索桥建成之前，人们只能通过渡轮往返安格尔西岛，由于海峡水域时常波涛汹涌，通行存在较大风险，历史上曾发生过多起严重的沉船事故。读完地理位置，水域特点，才能感受到这座桥对当地人的重要意义。注：靠近班戈Bangor市。
