Giant's Column National Park is located near Tucson, Arizona, USA. It was established in 1933 to protect the growing giant saguaro forest, hence the name of the park. The park covers an area of 368 square kilometers and is divided into two parts, east and west. The park is mostly desert terrain, mountain cactus forest and pine forest, which is a good place to enjoy desert scenery. There are three major highlights in the park: canyon overlooking, cactus forest driving and desert ecological tracking. The Saguaro Saguaro is the most striking feature of the desert and the entire national park, both aesthetically and biologically. Each giant cactus supports an entire fauna. The cactus forests are mostly scattered on the rocky slopes at the base of the desert mountains in the park, and the giant Saguaro cacti do not bloom until late May or early June. Although the park is dominated by Saguaro, it is also home to many species of plants, including hedgehog cacti, prickly pears, fusiform Mexican prickly wood, the ubiquitous creosote, and the famous thorny Jolia cactus.Pima County · >100 km from downtown

Old Tucson

Old Tucson

Old Tucson is situated between Saguaro National Park and Tucson Mountain Park, surrounded by vast deserts and towering saguaro cacti, offering a magnificent and rugged landscape. Old Tucson was not originally built for tourists. It was born during Hollywood's golden age, meticulously constructed as a film set for the epic Western movie "Arizona" to faithfully recreate the look of the old town of Tucson in the 1860s. Since then, it has become the birthplace of countless classic Western films and TV shows, where legendary stars like John Wayne have left their mark. Due to its irreplaceable status in Western film and television, Old Tucson is known as the "Hollywood of the desert." Today, Old Tucson is both an active film studio and a vibrant family theme park. Stroll down dusty wooden streets lined with vintage bars, churches, and shops, where actors in period costumes might brush past you at any moment, transporting you back in an instant to the era of cowboys and outlaws.Pima County · 53.4 km from downtown
