The Daintree Rainforest is located in northeastern Australia and is one of the oldest rainforests on Earth. Visiting flora and fauna is the highlight of any tour here, and spring is a great time to enjoy it, when temperatures are pleasant, there are few storms, and flora and fauna are very active. 1. There are many species of animals and plants The Daincui rainforest has more species of animals and plants on the earth. This huge rainforest is also home to some 430 bird species, 13 of which are not found anywhere else in the world. Wake up to their song in the treehouse in the morning, or glide over the river at dawn. From September onwards, you'll be able to spot the fascinating brown-backed honeybirds and Australian kingfishers. Parrots arrive with storms in November, and their gruff calls can be heard in the early morning noise. 2. Outside the rainforest In addition to the rainforest, Daintree also has pure beaches and shallow, warm tropical waters. These are mainly around Cape Tribulation to the north, where the rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef meet. This is one place in the world where two World Heritage areas meet. In Daintree, nature has kept its pattern for millions of years. In spring, Vientiane is renewed and so vibrant every year.Diwan · 35.3 km from Port Douglas

Daintree National Park is located in the northern part of Queensland, about 100 kilometers from Cairns. It was established in 1981 and is a world natural heritage site. The park consists of two parts, Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. 1. Cape Tribulation Daintree National Park has one of the oldest and oldest rainforests in the world. The entire national park consists of Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge. To reach Cape Tribulation, you need to take a ferry boat (to protect the environment, no highway is built in the park), and the place to take the ferry is at the fork in the crossing of the Daintree River, 24 kilometers north of Mossman. Most of the attractions in Cape Tribulation are dominated by the original bay scenery. Some beaches may also be haunted by crocodiles. Be sure to read the signs on the beach. Cape Tribulation has become a well-known tourist destination. It is a resting place that is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the sea and sky are the same color. It provides a comfortable and quiet environment for urban people to relax. 2. The name of Mossman Gorge Daintree National Park comes from the early explorer Richard Daintree. Mossman Gorge is the entrance to the national park. The canyon is composed of large rainforests and mountains, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Australia. The tropical rainforest is luscious and intoxicating. This park is of great conservation value, because most of the creatures in the park are rare, rare or endangered, and the park provides them with a good habitat and breeding environment. In the park, you can see big spiders, kangaroos, koalas, and giant banana leaves. There are also giant fruit doves, cassowaries, possums, Australian brown short-nosed bandicoots, muskrats, platypus, Australian echidnas, black-tailed kangaroos and other animals in the rainforest. If you are lucky, you can also see an Australian national treasure bird called Cassorwary, which is unique here. 3. Feel the time You can stop and rest at the viewing platform of the Alexander Mountains and admire the lush green coastline, which stretches all the way down to the charming sea. Take a stroll on the 650-meter Jindaba Trail or follow the 7-kilometer Solo Mountain Ridge Trail to explore tropical lowland rainforests, swamps, mangroves and sandy beaches. You can also learn about the various creatures in this spectacular environment and look for the endangered southern cassowary, according to the descriptions of the interpretive signs.Dedin · 30.9 km from Port Douglas

Byron Falls is located downstream of Kuranda Town, 3 kilometers away from the city. You can walk from the boardwalk to the viewing platform. The canyon under the waterfall is also spectacular. It is one of the historical relics in the tropical rain forest of North Queensland. A very worthwhile place to visit. 1. Spectacular views The waters of the Byron River come from the edge of the Atherton-Terapolis Heights, and waterfalls flow down steep cliffs through dense rainforest into Barron Gorge. The Byron River passes through the sugar cane fields of the flat coastal plain before it merges into Trinity Bay at the southern end of Makans Beach, at the northern end of Cairns Airport. The mist rising from the Great Falls can be seen from a distance. At first, I thought it was the white fog of the canyon. When we walked to the viewing point with umbrellas in our hands against the water curtain, we were shocked by the sight in front of us and the huge rumbling sound. There is a constant stream of water rushing downstream, roaring and roaring with thunderous momentum, and the agitated water splashes form an N-meter-high water curtain, and then rises upwards to form a white mist. 2. There are various ways to arrive. Take the train to Kuranda. Before arriving in Kuranda, there is a special stop where you can take pictures of Byron Falls. The parking time is about 10 minutes. You can walk up to an observation deck to watch the waterfall up close. After leaving Kuranda by cable car, get off at the Barron Falls stop and walk a short distance to the observation deck, where you can also see the falls. You can also hike along the boardwalk to the observation deck above Byron Falls for a great view of the falls. 3. Take the thrilling scenic railway line and drive through the Kuranda Mountains road to reach Kuranda. The whole trip is about 27 kilometers. Byron Falls can also be viewed via the Rainforest Skytrain Aerial Cableway, a facility at the foot of the Caravonica Mountains, near Smithfield. The ropeway allows visitors in artistic, fully enclosed cable cars to overlook the rainforest canopy from above. Rising upwards from the base of Macalister, the Skytrain offers unique views of Cairns, the northern beaches bush and the Coral Sea. When the Skyline Rainforest Aerial Cableway passes over the Barron River Gorge, it is a wonderful opportunity for tourists to watch and photograph the waterfall.Kuranda · 43.2 km from Port Douglas

Port Douglas is a small destination in area only. The Port itself is not that big but provides a vast array of accomodation that would satisfy any budget. Port Douglas is out of the hustle and bustle of the main city of Cairns, but provides all amenities.Indeed, it can accomodate that intimate, quiet time out you have been craving for - or deliver an action packed, adrenalin filled holiday thrill seekers are looking for. Anything in between is catered for as well.We stayed during October, apparently reknowned for its winds. And yes, it was windy, but warm.We went to the Habitat and spent nearly a day eventhough we were Aussies and familiar with a lot of the wildlife it was still an intimate exposure to them and very interesting. We did the touristy thing and went out to the reef - hubby did 3 dives and I snorkelled. The Poseidon catered for each of our needs and gave good individual service. I would have been more nervous with a bigger operator. Our Rainforest tour with Tony's Tours was just great. Only 6 people so we heard everything and never felt like cattle being rustled through. Questions were answered and a lot of information and history was passed on. Loved eating at Port Douglas - (hey, I love eating anywhere!) which probably makes me a conossoir right!?You have to go to the Combined Services Club - as quoted 'million dollar views and nothing over $20.00.'The yacht club is pretty good too. But don't go past the good old pub in the middle of the main drag which served up the best steak and for the cheapest price. That's where the locals still go to eat.Our accomodation was great. We stayed at Freestyle where our hosts were just spot on with local knowledge without being obtrusive at all. Our unit was great and reasonably priced. And we knew that if we needed anything then Anne would be able to assist us.Port Douglas is warm - hot in summer - and you always need your sunscreen and hat!!!And always friendly and fun. Loved it!

Green Island is the closest to the pier. It only takes a little over an hour to get there. It is very good for people who are prone to seasickness. You can also go to the island. The beach is white and the water is clear. The seawater is blue and beautiful. It is very suitable for playing in the sand and swimming. The snorkeling area is very large. The coral reefs and fish on the seabed can be seen in the clear water. It is just too hot and too sunny. It is a pity that the boat arrived at the hottest time and returned in the afternoon. If it is in the evening, it should be cool and comfortable on the beach.

You must visit the 130 million year old Daintree Rainforest if you’re in tropical North Queensland! We went on a day trip from Port Douglas in a hire car. You can spend a whole day there if you plan properly or if you want longer there are multiple camp spots or eco lodges but one day could be enough. Book a croc river tour in the morning with Crocodile Express or Bruce Belcher’s tours which we did. Then drive towards Cape Tribulation by going across the river by ferry and stopping at the Daintree Discovery Centre, you’ll need an hour or so there to make the entry fee of about $30AUD worth it. Continue towards Cape Tribulation stopping at the boardwalk walks that take about 20mins each (there’s about 3 along the way). Grab some organic ice cream while you take in the sounds and smells of the one of the world’s oldest rainforests!

Palm Cove in Cairns is a bay full of tropical island style. Rows of palm trees on the coast sway in the wind, and wooden beach houses are hidden among them, giving people a feeling of relaxation and freedom. It is worth a visit.

The Barron Falls in Kuranda Rainforest is definitely the most spectacular scenery in this forest. The waterfall falls down from the peak step by step, stirring up layers of water. When there is abundant rain, the water volume is also very large and very spectacular, but in the dry season, there is also a waterfall like a white ribbon hanging in the mountains, which is extremely beautiful.

It has been 15 years since we last visited and we were pleasantly surprised to see how much the gardens have grown in size and diversity. There is a wide variety of plants and trees. The greenhouses have many orchids and pitcher plants, as well as a few butterflies here and there. The Gondwana Forest has a large number of native plants and trees, including a variety of majestic Kauris fir.
