Castel Sismondo
The existing portion of Castello Sismondo was built in 1437. The castle is named after its owner, Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, then lord of Rimini and Fano. The castle is irregular in shape, surrounded by a deep moat, connected by a drawbridge. The castle itself was used for military defense. Parts of the outbuildings were later demolished, leaving only the towers and walls.
