The Museum of Flight

152 reviews
The Museum of Flight is one of the larger aviation museums in the western United States, housing over 100 aircraft along with various aircraft blueprints and component tools. It showcases a wide range of aircraft from the Wright brothers' invention to World War I and II-era planes and modern British Airways aircraft, with the entire evolution narrating humanity's boundless imagination and pursuit of the skies. The Museum of Flight can be roughly divided into six exhibition areas: The Great Gallery, The Personal Courage Wing, The Red Barn, Space Exhibit, Simulators and Aviation Pavilion. 1. The Great Gallery The Great Gallery stands six stories tall, with over 40 aircraft from different eras either suspended in mid-air or displayed on the ground. The M-21 Blackbird high-speed reconnaissance aircraft at the center of the hall is particularly striking. The adjacent control tower exhibition area faces the runway of Boeing Field, allowing travelers to watch planes take off and land through the glass while listening to real-time communications between air traffic controllers and pilots—a unique feature many travelers might overlook. On one side of the main hall, the children's flight zone and flight simulation experiences also cater well to families with kids. 2. The personal courage wing The personal courage wing displays aircraft from participating nations during the two world wars across two floors and tells the stories of the pilots behind these planes. 3. The red barn The red barn (The Red Barn) is the original wooden structure factory building left when Boeing was founded in 1909. It is regarded as the birthplace of Boeing, with historical materials from the company's early development displayed inside. 4. Space exhibit & simulators Space Exhibit & Simulators are two places specially designed for children, featuring cool spaceships and fun aircraft simulators, which kids will surely love. 5. Aviation Pavilion The aviation pavilion features heavyweight exhibits like the Boeing 747 prototype "City of Everett," the Boeing 737 prototype, and an early jet-powered Air Force One presidential aircraft, which visitors can board. A British Airways Concorde supersonic airliner is also displayed nearby. The space exhibit showcases a full-scale space shuttle trainer, used by NASA astronauts for pre-launch rehearsals before every shuttle mission prior to its retirement.Seattle · 8.3 km from SeaTac

It was completed in 1985 and has become the tallest building in Seattle with a height of 76 floors and 304 meters, higher than the well-known Space Needle. It is worth a visit even if you are not a fan of flights. We spent more than 3 hours there. It’s huge and educational. It is amazing that there are so many different types of airplanes. You can even go inside the Air Force one to see the layout. Great experience.

You can walk to the Seattle 520 Bridge from Bellevue, as shown in Figure 1. There is also a beautiful park and parking lot here. If you like to walk across the bridge, you can reach Seattle. If you like to take the bus, you can also do so. The bus station is just below the parking lot. There are many buses and the waiting time is not long. It is very convenient.

This is in Seattle, after all, this is a place to visit. But compared to Suizhou in China, this place is practically a little brother and doesn't hold much significance. However, if you're planning to visit the place shown in the picture below, this is a must-see. It's not much, just simple female massage, but you can definitely learn a lot from it. That's for sure.

The Skydeck is a place to enjoy the city view of Seattle. There are not many high-rise buildings in Seattle, so the city view during the day is average. But Seattle at night is very beautiful.
