Sea Castle is located on the coast of Shanwei and is a coastal photo spot transformed from an abandoned scientific research building. It was formerly a wave energy power generation test station built in the last century, which was left idle for a long time after its research mission ended, and was once dubbed an unfinished building by netizens. After structural reinforcement and facility updates, this old seaside building, along with the "Castle Cafe" inside, has been given a new lease on life, becoming a popular landmark for coastal tourism in Shanwei. The Sea Castle stands by the sea, surrounded by headlands and reefs. Waves crash against the rocks one after another, creating an impressive sight. The mottled walls and rusty iron windows retain a sense of history, creating a striking contrast with the deep blue sea, making it a great spot for portraits and photoshoots. It is not only a cultural tourism icon for Shanwei, but also an ideal destination for visitors to experience coastal charm and historical flavor.Shanwei · 24.9 km from downtown

I recommend entering from the Stone Islands entrance... there's not much scenery on the Zhelang side... the entire scenic area is quite a walk... the reefs are very unique... I'd like to go on a sunny day next time... it's still a bit chilly in February...

Jinmai Bay in Shanwei boasts a 7-kilometer crescent-shaped pristine white sand beach with fine sand and clear, clean water. The adjacent Whale Bay Town amusement park is perfect for families, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Main attractions: Beach relaxation + Whale Bay Town amusement park + sunset viewing – ideal for strolling, lounging, and having kids dig in the sand and collect seashells. Whale Bay Town amusement park is a standard family-friendly area, featuring a sea train, carousel, bumper cars, and a Ferris wheel open at night for photo opportunities; there's also a sea roller coaster for thrills. The Sail Chapel, a pure white steel sail-shaped building, is a landmark of Jinmai Bay and now also houses a coffee shop. The best angle for photos is from the side, with the building in the foreground and the sky in the background. Sunset photos are best taken between 6 and 7 pm. Remember to bring sunscreen and a sun hat. Transportation: Take the high-speed rail to Shanwei Station, then transfer to bus route 112 or 6 to Jinmai Bay. It costs about 25 yuan to take a taxi from Ermalu.

I drove here from Qinhuangdao, Hebei. It is the loneliest sea castle in Guangdong. It is a beach that is very suitable for young people to check in. It is very beautiful to take pictures here. The sea water is very clear and parking is convenient. It is a place worth visiting. If I have the opportunity in the future, I will drive here to play around.

I've been in Guangdong for over a week now, and this beachcombing trip was the best day of my trip! First of all, the tour leader was incredibly thoughtful. Since we were on a road trip, he checked on us from the very beginning until we met up. The whole beachcombing experience was fantastic, and the tour leader was incredibly considerate. After we finished beachcombing in the morning, he cooked us delicious seafood. After breakfast, he took us fishing. At noon, he made us fish soup with the fish we caught. The whole experience was amazing, and we went to less crowded beaches – the experience was fantastic! The tour leader was also incredibly kind! Highly recommended!

A perfect score is a must! The hotel is located in a quiet area, and the lobby is spacious, elegant, and impeccably maintained. The guest rooms were impeccably clean; the floors, windowsills, and mirrors were spotless. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, proactively providing information on nearby attractions and restaurants – very thoughtful and considerate. The room was spacious, the mattress was just the right firmness, and I slept soundly all night. My stay was very pleasant, and I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.
