Tsinandali Estate

Tsinandali Estate is located in the Alazani Valley in Kakheti, Georgia, near Telavi. It is the birthplace of modern Georgian wine culture. In the 19th century, it was the family estate of the noble poet Alexander Chavchavadze. Today, it combines a palace museum, century-old cellars, English gardens, and upscale resort spaces, making it a landmark of cultural and winemaking heritage in the Caucasus. Kakheti, where the estate is situated, is Georgia's core wine-producing region, where abundant sunshine and fertile valley soil provide excellent conditions for grape growing. The highlight of the estate is its historic cellar, where Georgia's first bottled wine was created. Chavchavadze combined European oak barrel winemaking techniques with Georgia's ancient qvevri clay vessel tradition, laying the foundation for the modern Georgian wine system. The old cellar houses tens of thousands of rare aged wines. Guided tours take visitors through the winemaking facility, where they can taste the iconic Tsinandali white wine and Saperavi red wine, and gain insight into 8,000 years of Georgian winemaking civilization.

Kvareli Wine Cave is a tunnel wine cellar located near the town of Kvareli in the Kakheti region of Georgia, situated at the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains and overlooking the Alazani Valley. Deep within the rock, the environment is quiet, dark, and maintains a constant temperature year-round. With tens of thousands of wine bottles aging slowly on racks lining both sides, it is a true natural underground wine cellar. The underground environment contrasts sharply with the natural conditions outside. Upon entering the cave, visitors can get an up-close look at the structure and use of the wine storage facilities, experiencing the blend of traditional Georgian winemaking culture and modern tourism.
