Longmen Stone Village is located in the eastern part of Wudalianchi Scenic Area. There are a number of huge rocks of varying sizes, some of which are shaped like various stone beasts, and some are like collapsed city walls and ancient castles. The largest rocks have a diameter of more than 5 meters. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, due to volcanic eruptions, the East and West Longmen Mountains were formed in the forested Wudalianchi area. After many earthquakes and crustal changes, a shield-shaped lava platform was formed on the mountainside platform area in the western part of West Longmen Mountain, creating this lava landscape with various scenes and unique shapes.Wudalianchi City · 13.8 km from downtown

Wenbo is a pearl on the beautiful Shilong River. It is a bonsai-style volcanic wonder and an ideal area for environmental magnetic therapy. The water temperature of Wenbo is kept at around 14℃ all year round. Even when the ground temperature is below minus 40℃ and the temperature difference is more than 54 degrees, it is still not frozen and is steaming. In a water area with exactly the same geographical conditions, the three landscapes are very different and unique, which is amazing. Wenbo consists of three small lakes: "Source Lake", "Mysterious Lake" and "Fairyland Lake".Wudalianchi City · 1.7 km from downtown

It is also another major source of water in the famous Wudalianchi mineral water. A pavilion was built directly above the spring to protect the entire spring. Yaoquan Mountain is located in Wudalianchi City, Heilongjiang Province, China. It is a very small and low-altitude volcano in the Wudalianchi volcanic group. It is 355.8 meters above sea level. It is named after the many cold mineral springs rich in minerals distributed at the foot of the mountain. It is known as "holy water" and can be drunk and bathed. It has an auxiliary effect on many diseases. The crater of Yaoquan Mountain is unique in shape, in the shape of a Ming-style round chair. The bottom of the crater is flat, and there are dense oak and birch forests growing on the hillside, which is pleasant. Zhongling Zen Temple is built on the top of the mountain. It is a typical Zen temple. The temple is very popular and has become one of the important activity centers in the northern Xinjiang region. Visitors can climb to the top of the mountain along the stone steps, enjoy the natural scenery along the way, and feel the tranquility of Zen. In addition, Yaoquan Mountain has dense vegetation, with reed as the representative flower. The original volcanic lava landform is preserved on the hillside, forming a unique "sea of stone" landscape. Yaoquan Mountain integrates geological wonders, religious culture and health tourism, and is one of the core attractions of Wudalianchi World Geopark.Wudalianchi City · 1.8 km from downtown

Beiyinquan Square is a landmark space where the volcanic landscape of Wudalianchi blends with cultural heritage. Perched on the Shilong lava platform, it faces Yaoquan Lake Wetland in front and connects to the main area of the World Famous Springs behind, perfectly merging the vastness of the 64 km² basalt platform with the elegance of northern classical gardens. As a core exhibition area of one of the world's three major cold mineral springs, every view here tells the story of "magical mineral springs." At the entrance, an antique archway guarded by twin lions and carved with dragons and phoenixes stands on a basalt base, embodying both Chinese architectural aesthetics and reverence for volcanic nature. Beyond the archway, granite pathways wind forward, flanked by black lava dotted with pink-white spirea flowers, locally known as "June Snow," draping the majestic landscape in soft white veils that harmonize with the shimmering waters of distant Yaoquan Lake in a dynamic yet balanced composition. The heart of the plaza is the "Yishen Garden" view complex, featuring a Drinking Water Corridor that connects Song Dynasty-style Yishen Pavilion and Spring Viewing Platform. The pavilion's couplet—"Sip, Sing, and Reflect on Origins; Roam, Play, and Rejoice in Nature"—captures the essence of the experience. Inside, visitors find both a volcanic cultural exhibition and a cozy corner to rest while enjoying tea. Descending the corridor steps leads to the Drinking Hall, where mist perpetually shrouds the spring mouth. The transparent, odorless water, rich in trace elements and carbon dioxide, bubbles like boiling liquid—serving as both drinkable natural mineral water and therapeutic "healing springs." Visitors often pause here to taste the 5.5°C refreshing water, cup it in their palms, or join water quality tests using litmus paper to observe elemental changes, transforming into "junior geologists." The experience here transforms with the seasons, offering unique charms: in summer, stroll along Yaoquan Creek and admire the wetlands where birds soar against the volcanic rock formations; in winter, the area becomes the main venue for the Volcanic Ice and Snow Festival, where frozen waterfalls and dazzling light displays create the breathtaking spectacle of "admiring ice and snow at the foot of a volcano." Nearby local restaurants serve specialties like mineral spring tofu feasts and mushroom-stewed spring chicken, allowing your taste buds to savor the volcanic bounty. Whether you're a visitor exploring geological wonders or a local seeking relaxation, the "singing springs" and "talking volcanoes" of Wudalianchi reveal nature's miracles—where "water flows backward" and "rocks float on water."Wudalianchi City · 308m from downtown

The adorable deer in the deer park and the incredibly high levels of negative ions in the forest park made this trip full of joy and relaxation. The driver was warm, polite, and humorous, picking us up and dropping us off at the attractions on time. A happy and enjoyable journey! 👍

Seeing the volcanic rock formations was a fun and educational experience. The birch leaves turn a beautiful golden yellow in autumn. The path is a wooden boardwalk, flat and gentle, making it easy to walk. Overall, the experience was quite pleasant.

Wudalianchi is a key scenic spot in 2026. The whole visit takes about an hour and a half. Enter from the East Gate, walk to the middle pier, take a boat to the West Gate, and then take a shuttle bus back to the East Gate.

I caught the tail end of the National Day holiday and received a complimentary double ticket to Aoneng Pool on October 7th. Since only the indoor pool is open this season, the lack of outdoor facilities made it less fun than Aoneng. The butler, Nian Gao, was very thoughtful, coordinating birthday arrangements and providing special birthday benefits for the three days before and after my birthday. The lady I met during the event, Youzi, was incredibly friendly and approachable; you could tell she was dedicated to serving every customer, making for a very pleasant experience.

This is one of the shorter of the 14 volcanoes in the scenic area, and the vegetation is quite beautiful in autumn. There's a temple on the mountain, with nice details, and a medicinal spring at the foot of the mountain, both free. Overall, it's a good choice for a visit to Wudalianchi.
