Mt. Yunji Nature Reserve
Yunji Mountain is a Guangdong Provincial Nature Reserve. It is located 8 kilometers northwest of Xinfeng County. Accessible from State Highway 105. It is 150 kilometers away from Guangzhou city, 198 kilometers away from Shenzhen city and 165 kilometers away from Shaoguan city. Hidden in Yunji Mountain, this ancient town features over 300 buildings in various architectural styles, artificially restored to their original state. These buildings, encompassing Huizhou, Cantonese, and Hakka styles, form a veritable museum of ancient architecture. The blue bricks and gray tiles, exquisite wood and brick carvings, and ingenious mortise and tenon joints showcase the beauty of classical Chinese architecture.

Visit Date: 2025-12-8 There are not many red leaves left to see at Lingnan Red Leaf World; only a handful remain, and the rest are almost completely withered! However, the bald cypress trees at a certain scenic spot (I forgot the name) that we visited by sightseeing bus were quite beautiful, and there were also many photo opportunities along the lake.

We entered from the South Gate. Although there were many people, it wasn't chaotic at all. The signs were very clear, and the staff were very responsible. It was a very enjoyable trip for the kids; Guangzhou is beautiful and delicious. It was our first time seeing a rhinoceros and our first time riding a cable car—a great experience!

I purchased the 450m platform view. My wife is scared of heights, so we didn't do the 360 ball ride. After going up top and seeing it move very slow and it has secure safety railing, I regret not purchasing that package. It's definitely not scary.

I visited 20 years ago, and it's still so much fun now. The park is well-maintained, all the miniature landscapes are beautiful, and there aren't too many tourists. They've also added many NPCs to interact with visitors, handing out cards that you can collect to exchange for prizes. There are also some free rides, a haunted house, a 4D movie—it has everything you could want. You could easily spend a whole day there and still not have enough.

The Pearl River Cruise was pretty good. Easy to buy tickets off Trip; buy the tickets, get a QR code within seconds, scan QR code at pier - easy entry. Ship was pretty good. Booked 3rd level seats for the unobstructed views and was pretty surprised that I was booking a table on the 3rd level. That was great as we could sit down if we wanted to. The weather was perfect. No rain, clear skies, a bit of a breeze. It is a great family activity and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We didn't catch any squid, but the owner helped us by casting a net every half hour, bringing up quite a few. We had a barbecue on the boat, which was a nice way to relax and have some fun in the evening. Even though we didn't catch any fish, we still had a barbecue and seafood porridge dinner.
