Wow, amazing hike into the gorge. It was around 2.6 km to the end and it took about an hour or so. The last 1.4 km was quit quick. The hike is not that hard or tiring. Lots of little flies flying around you but didn’t bite, just annoying. We used trekking poles and that helped a lot. Unfortunately, it rained on the way out. The multiple shelters can in handy. The path is relatively new but beware it can slippery. Well worth the 30 RMB entrance ticket.

This manor has a long history and unique architectural style, which combines the architectural features of the Han and Yi nationalities. The houses in the manor are scattered and well-arranged, with carved beams and painted buildings, showing the glory and style of the Longxi aristocratic family in those days. Walking in the manor, it seems to travel through time and space, back to that distant era, and feel the thickness and vicissitudes of history. Finally, I came to Jinshan Primeval Forest. The moment I stepped into the forest, it seemed as if I entered a world isolated from the world. The tall trees covered the sky, and the sun shone through the gaps in the leaves, forming golden beams of light. The ground was covered with thick fallen leaves, which were soft to walk on, and some rare plants and wild animals could be seen from time to time. One day passed in a flash, and when I left Ailao Mountain, I was full of reluctance. This one-day trip to Ailao Mountain not only allowed me to appreciate the beautiful natural scenery, but also let me appreciate the rich history and culture, and I gained a lot. Nan'en Waterfall is located in Ailao Mountain National Forest Park, Gasa Town, Xinping Yi Autonomous County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province. Nan'en Waterfall originates from Ailao Mountain and is called Nan'en River. The Nan'en Waterfall has a turbulent river and fierce water. Many waterfalls have formed in the mountains, of which the most famous is Nan'en Waterfall. The waterfall spans up to 100 meters, like a jade belt inlaid in the Ailao Mountain. The waterfall is surrounded by cliffs and strange rocks. When you walk into the waterfall, the water rushing down from the mountain is huge. A snow-white waterfall flows down from the top of the mountain, as if it came out of the sky, with waves flying straight down, and the waterfall falling thousands of feet from the cloud peak. It rained all night, so we went to Jinshan Primeval Forest the next morning. Hiking along the artificially paved road through the primeval forest, the scenery was full of greenery, the air was fresh, and the forest was filled with fairyland. The scenic spot is under development. It takes an hour to get there by national highway from Gasa Town in the morning. There is only one small road to get in. You must check the weather before going, otherwise you can't see the sea of ​​clouds but only the sunrise. It is very cool in the morning. The only bad thing is the random charging. Three families in the surrounding villages charge. When you just get to the intersection, the old man and the old woman block the road and don't let you in if you don't pay. You have to pay again when you enter to park, and you have to pay when you take pictures. There is a lack of unified management!

The scenery of lakes and mountains is very good. The Mopanshan Forest Park Hotel in the scenic area is worth experiencing. The cherry trees on the mountain are in bud, and there are many alpine azaleas around the cliff villa and Fushan Garden. The blooming season should be very good, and it feels much better than the hardware of Dali Wuliang Mountain. It just feels that there are not many people who come because of the lack of publicity. There is a large-scale jungle leap in the scenic area, which is very interesting. Such a good scenery and such good hardware should be promoted more!

It is worth a visit nearby. The beef soup pot is the specialty, and the dipping sauce is the soul. The climate is hot. There is a chimney of the Nanen Sugar Paper Factory in the town that is always emitting smoke. It is not comfortable to stay.

[Value for money] On October 5, we visited the Shimenxia scenic spot in the Ailao Mountain Scenic Area in Xinping. We set off from Yuxi early in the morning and took the 7:10 shuttle bus. After driving for about 3 hours, we arrived at Jiasa Town at 10:20. We happened to meet the shuttle bus to the mountain departing at 10:20, and immediately connected seamlessly and took the bus to the Shimenxia scenic spot. The ticket price is 30 yuan, which is very cheap. Since we went directly to the scenic spot and did not go to the hotel, we carried our luggage with us. After buying the ticket, we discussed with the ticket seller, and the ticket seller agreed to store our 1 piece of luggage with them for free, which was very touching. If you come by car, there is a large parking lot at the door, which is free parking. This practice makes people feel that the scenic spot management department is very generous. [Scenery] The Shimenxia scenic spot is mainly a canyon, along the stream, tracing back to the source of the stream from bottom to top. The scenery along the way is very beautiful, with rich vegetation, turbulent water, moist air, cool and comfortable. There are few artificial carvings in the scenic area, which retains the original style and is known as the Little Jiuzhaigou. As soon as you enter the door, there is a bamboo raft for tourists to take photos for free. This reflects the simplicity of the locals compared to some scenic spots that charge for taking photos by placing some things around classic scenic spots. After walking about one-fifth, it happened to rain when I arrived at the Jingxin Pavilion. I took a rest in the pavilion while waiting for the rain. When the rain subsided a little, I continued to move forward. At this time, many tourists were hiding from the rain, so there were very few people along the way, which was suitable for fast forward and taking photos along the way. It took us about two and a half hours to complete the approximately 2.5-kilometer mountain road. It cost 12 yuan to take a car from the exit of the mountain scenic spot to the gate. [Fun] There are local special snacks at the entrance of the scenic spot, such as fried potatoes, buckwheat cakes, brown sugar cakes, wild vegetable cakes, etc., which are very delicious. The only shortcoming of the scenic spot is that there are few buses that can reach the scenic spot, which is more suitable for self-driving tours. If you don’t have a car, you have to stick to the time. We finished the tour at 3:30, but we didn't meet a small van going down the mountain until around 5 o'clock. We shared a ride with four other people and went back to Jiasa Town smoothly for 20 yuan per person. The driver was very enthusiastic. When we passed the largest waterfall, Nan'en Waterfall, the driver asked us to get off the car and take pictures. When we walked to the top of the terraced fields, he asked us to take beautiful scenery photos.
