Lake Kawaguchi

Lake Kawaguchi is rich in nature and the scenery varies throughout the year. Cherry blossoms in spring, lavender in summer, red leaves in autumn, and snowy scenery in winter. Regardless of the season, the scenery of Mt. It is famous as a shooting spot for Mount Fuji. In Sanyazaki, where the reflection of Mount Fuji can be photographed, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji can be photographed with the cherry blossoms as the foreground. Chanyazaki is a small cape that protrudes toward Lake Kawaguchi, and on its protruding part stands a small shrine dedicated to the worship of Fuji's deity, "Kinohanakai Yahime". There are about 501 maple trees on the lakeside, and the autumn leaves make up a unique attraction headed by the red leaf corridor. The lakeside decorated with red and yellow makes Kawaguchiko even more charming. The lake water and the red leaves form a beautiful scenery. From the mountains to the lakeside, the charming red maples are closely connected, making it dizzying. Take the Kawaguchiko cruise boat "ensoleile" (from French, meaning the sun) and circle the lake for about 20 minutes. When the weather is clear, you can see Mount Fuji reflected on the lake surface from the boat, which is the famous "reverse Fuji" landscape. Take a ride on an elegant cruise ship and overlook the stunning scenery.Fujikawaguchiko · 20.5 km from Yamanashi City

Lake Kawaguchi is a must-see when visiting, especially for those few days. I saw Mount Fuji from various angles every day. Photos of Mount Fuji are best taken on a clear day; otherwise, you might not be able to get a good shot.

As the cable car slowly ascended, the world outside the window gradually sank below. First, the rows of hotel rooftops appeared, then the lakeside road stretched out like a gray ribbon. Lake Kawaguchi below slowly revealed its full form—no longer just a glimmer of water, but a vast, warm, lustrous piece of jade, carefully cradled in the palm of the surrounding dark green mountains. The moment the cable car passed the treetops, Mount Fuji appeared. It was there, as if it had always been. The snow-capped peak that had required so much effort to look up from the lakeside was now almost level with my eyes. The clouds moved quickly, casting flowing shadows on the conical mountain, and the outline of the snow trembled slightly between the light and shadow, like a long, frozen sigh. At the foot of the mountain, the "Fuji Five Lakes" are like scattered mirrors, with Lake Kawaguchi being the brightest, reflecting the sky and the shadows of the mountains, as well as our slowly moving gondola—we look at the mountains, and the mountains also see themselves in its clear pupils.

Chose to visit the Mount Fuji Instagram-famous spots on Trip.com's recommendation, and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The itinerary included memorable locations such as Arakurayama Sengen Park, Hikawa Clock Shop, Oshino Hakkai, Kawaguchiko Lawson, and Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park—each offering its own breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji. Our tour guide (Hikari) truly made the trip special: not only was he friendly, but he was also impressively patient throughout the day, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had enough time to enjoy each spot. The pace of the tour was just right, allowing for leisurely sightseeing and ample opportunities for taking photos—perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy moments! If you're considering this day trip, I recommend bringing your camera and a light jacket, as weather around Mt. Fuji can change. The service from Trip.com was smooth and easy, making the whole experience stress-free.

I started to like Japanese Warring States history from Nobunaga's Ambition. At the end of March when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, I came to Kai, the hometown of Takeda and the home of Akabi. Fifty years of life is as brilliant as cherry blossoms. Thousands of years later, people are still reminiscing about this era of constant disputes and the rise of heroes.
