Love the place. Very close to Hakata station and all the minimarts. Spacious considering it's in Japan. Very clean very efficient regarding checking in and out. Free coffee in the lobby is also very nice.
Since it is located inside the station, it was very convenient to move around Hakata Station or to the airport.
The luggage compartment was very spacious, so I could store my carrier and all the bags and clothes I was carrying, and the bed was very comfortable.
Also, the shower room and bathroom were cleaner and bigger than most business hotels.
Considering the price of 20,000 won on weekdays, I think it is the best accommodation!
However, since there may be people snoring due to the nature of the public space, I recommend that those who are sensitive to snoring reconsider.

Very good location where you can travel around Hakata easily, especially access to subway just 15 meters away.
Breakfast provided but don’t expect too much variety and local Japanese food serving.
Check-in and check-out are very convenient.
Beautiful environment, comfortable, large room, free coffee machine in the lobby, free parking if you drive, and a roadside station next to it where you can buy some fruits, snacks and souvenirs
This is my second business trip. It is very close to where we are going, but the surrounding convenience stores and restaurants are not within walking distance, which is inconvenient without a car. The breakfast is delicious, but there are few choices for dinner. Although the room is not big, it is very clean and has everything it needs.
More convenient if using a car, parking is free however parking lots may be full at night so better to reach earlier at the hotel. There's also free onsen facilities and a comics room, and there's two buildings so might be confusing when navigating around the hotel. Overall experience is a good stay.
Location is good. Lots of eateries outside hotel. Hotel parking at ¥1000 per night. Front desk staff- Mr. Suganawa is friendly and especially helpful. Thank you, Suganawa-San! Free flow of nuts, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol for guests at lounge. Amenities is available at self service at lobby. Room is small. Though room is renovated but the dresser and headboard seem very old.
It was excellent. I was initially skeptical because of the cheap price despite the good reviews, but it turned out to be an amazing experience. I can't speak Japanese at all, and my English isn't great either, but the staff kindly used a translator to communicate with me. They were incredibly kind. The amenities are quite good. The room had a clean bathroom and shower (with a bathtub), which I appreciated. I didn't go to the public bath, so I can't comment on that. The view is absolutely stunning. Lying down and looking straight at the park, I felt truly relaxed. The accommodation provided taxi discount tickets and even helped me with reservations for a boat ride and taxis, so I had no trouble getting around. The boat ride boarding point was right in front of the accommodation, so I could walk back to the hotel without much trouble.I also added dinner, and the quality was quite high. I almost missed breakfast because I turned off my alarm, but they kindly called my room to wake me up. Thank you so much.Overall, it was the best. There may not be many tourist attractions nearby, but if you're coming for a boat ride, I don't think there's a better place than this.
Route Inn Yanagawa Ekimae offers well-appointed rooms with refined décor and full amenities. However, the interior space is somewhat cramped, and the parking guidance is not clear enough, which I hope can be improved in the future. The hotel is conveniently located near Yanagawa Station. This unique journey, while not without its quirks, is still worth a visit. The interior design is considered rather practical, and I look forward to more exceptional service in the future. For those with a sufficient budget and an appreciation for unique hotels, Route Inn Yanagawa Ekimae remains a worthy consideration. It is more than just a stay; it's a journey for relaxation, and I anticipate an even more perfect experience in the future.

Very Good
GGuest UserGood value for money, the room is large with plenty of room for activities, so it's suitable for a family who doesn't require luxury services. There is no parking lot, but there is a public open-air paid parking lot (cash only) right next to the hotel. In addition, it is only a five-minute walk to Kokura Station Mall and the main shopping street, so it is also very convenient.
Since this is a fully self-service hotel, please be prepared to check in at the lobby using a tablet computer, which will take about ten minutes to input your information. As other netizens have said, the main entrance and rooms of the hotel are accessed by password (no room card), and the password was only emailed to me one day before check-in (there was no problem of being unable to enter at all). I can only say that choosing this hotel requires some thought, and it is not suitable to arrive too late. Whether it is troublesome or not depends on personal opinion.
TTabby YipGreat location, right next to the Canal City Mall, less than 10mins. walk from the Hakata Station, won't take long going to/from the airport. A large variety of restaurants and shops around, satisfying every need. Hotel breakfast is a buffet style of both Japanese and Western cuisines, including hot dishes, bakery, fruits + yogurts, rice and soup, as a vegetarian I have less selection but still good enough to fill up my stomach.
Overall it's a pleasant stay👍🏽
MMiyu BirdiePersonal opinion as a female Asian traveler.
Location: 20 mins walk from Hakata station. 4 mins walk to Gion bus stop or canal city bus stop, both go to Hakata station in around 10 mins. Also, 15 mins walk to Kawabata Shopping Arcade and Canal CityHakata. There are not many restaurants nearby, only convenient stores around the area. Better eat before returning to the hotel. There is a MaxValu Express (open for 24 hrs, 2 levels: 1st floor drugsstore and B1 supermarket) 4 mins walk from the hotel. Great option for late night snacks, drinks, daily necessities, and tax-free shopping.
Room: small and a bit old, cleanliness ok, no bath tub only shower stall. Shower water is not hot enough. Very poor sound insulation (recommended to use earplugs when sleepping. Provided on 1st floor of hotel). You can hear almost every single activity happening next door(literally meaning). Light switches far away from bed, which is a bit inconvenient.
Front desk: it is an unmanned hotel. Self check-in via smartphone prior (utilizing the QR code) or via computer on 1st floor. Self check-out via tablet provided inside the room or computer on 1st floor. Using password to enter room. There is a female staff member in the lobby area in the morning if needed help for anything. She doesn't speak much English but is very friendly and willing to help. Also, you can text the hotel staff member for assistance if needed via the room tablet provided. They reply quickly.
Amenities: self-service, self luggage storage, only basic items provided. There is no ice maker and only 1 laundry machine on the 1st floor (always being occupied).
All in all, Pros: though the hotel is unmanned, I find it pretty chill, easy and efficient as long as you figure out how things work (not hard at all, perhaps more accessible for younger visitors). Cons: You really have to lower your expectations for everything else. I personally feel it is more like a hostel than a hotel. But considering it is the Hakata area and with this affortable price, can't murmur.
PPhoebeThe overall quality of the hotel is good, however, no parking lot will be provided unless you called the hotel for reservation in advance. The location is slightly far from the main road, it takes around 10 mins to the main road.
DDenna HeryatiWe stayed for 4 nights in residential room which provides kitchen facilities (we only used the kettle) as well as washer/dryer (which we used often and really grateful for this service). We stayed here too about a week ago and hotel provides free luggage storage (for our large suitcase) for our 2nd check in.
Location is excellent with bus terminal and subway station very close by. Also surrounded by department stores, restaurants as well as Yatai.
Reception staff always so attentive; they were also able to book us a taxi to the airport for our morning flight.
Will definitely stay here for my future trips to Fukuoka.
MMizana KhusnuThis hotel has amazing amenities even tho the room is pretty small and the bathroom too really really small. But has a bathub and good facilities
One thing should be fix is the wifi is really slow.. I can’t even watch a YouTube
BBokkie TruongA clean, modern hotel for a comfortable stay in a nice large room. A washing machine and microwave also provided. Bed a bit narrow and bathtub small for a shower. We were unable to open the windows so the room was a bit stuffy. Overall, good value and pleasant accomodation.
AAnonymous UserThis place is close to the domestic airport but far from the international airport. it's inconvenient if you have heavy luggage.
in the surrounding area there are some restaurants. The room is quite comfortable but it is cramped to open a large luggage. they provide free toiletries and there is all-you-can-drink. But
There are 2 things that disappointed me
1. I made a mistake and made a room reservation for 1 person and made a telephone call if it could be change for 2 people. The male staff on the phone offered an upgrade and I had to pay 4600 yen. I agreed and said I would arrive at the hotel within 2 hours. But when we arrived at the hotel. At front desk there were 2 female staff who didn't know at all about the reservation I made and the changes. The female staff recalculated and I had to pay 4800 yen. Their additional fee is 4400yen + 400yen (accommodation tax for 2 people). Which is different from the phone. When i ask why the additional fee different from the one called? the female staff said it was because there were two of us. But I already paid in full for 1 person and I should have paid as said on the phone. Since I'm too tired from the trip to the hotel and had early morning flight. I just let it be.
2. While resting, I heard a noise and it turned out the sound came from the AC in the room. Even though we didn't use it, the AC made noise all night. I was quite disturbed and lack of sleep
for front office staff: it is better to speak slowly but clearly than fast but hard to understand.
NNurkholis AdyLocation was great, very close to eateries, close to subway and also train and bus station to outskirts of Fukuoka.
Parco, muna, and other department store are also nearby.
Room was OK, manageable for 2 with 2 large suitcases. TV channels are all in Japanese, but u don't watch TV on holiday anyway. Bathroom and amenities were great, they provide free amenities in the lobby.
Lounge were nice, though only coffee is provided, but it's good to just sit and sip coffee.
The view from my room was Ritz Carlton, so u feel like staying there.. 😝😝
