it is big room to stay with enough space to place the luggage. It is so good that having an onsen to relax after a whole day trip. carpark is nearby . It is worth to stay here

No sauna or large public bath. Very clean, cheerful service and right in front of JR Train Station. Highly recommended.

Takaragawa Onsen exceeded all expectations. Upon arriving at Jomokogen station, a friendly driver meets you with a sign and drives you comfortably for 25 km. You need to register in advance by sending an email to the hotel. Upon entering, you immediately feel transported to the past: you leave your shoes, choose a yukata robe with an obi, receive socks and special bathing attire, and proceed to your room in a traditional Japanese style (I highly recommend this to fully experience the atmosphere of the place). When you enter the room, you will likely experience a shock, as it feels like you've stepped into an old movie. I recommend a room with a small balcony in the Main building overlooking the river. Check-in is around 3 PM. You can change and head straight to the hot springs. Yes, everyone has been to saunas, steam rooms, and hammams, but the onsen is unlike anything else. It's impossible to convey the emotions. The combination of hot, clear water, pure air, surrounding nature, the rushing river, the play of light on the leaves, the scents, and the silence offers something new and unique. There are three public baths on the premises and one exclusively for women. After bathing, head to the restaurant for dinner, featuring local dishes. I recommend ordering both dinner and breakfast in advance. The food is very delicious and unique. You will sleep on futons, which will be carefully laid out for you while you have dinner. It’s a wonderful experience, and you'll sleep as lightly as a child. I would love to return here to experience that happiness again. One day was not enough.

Given that the hotel is abit old, the 3 star cleanliness is referring to the old facility at guy side onsen. It’s not maintain well and everything looks old. It’s 10mins walking distance to bus terminal and another 5-6mins to yubatake. Bonus point gives to free shuffle from/to daitokon with the very precise bus schedules. Room is clean but bear in mind, it’s not non-smoking hotel so might have chance to smell cigarette smell in room. Fortunately, our room is good. Overall we satisfy with our stay at kusatsu onsen resort.

The hotel is clean, good service and kind staffs. Just a few minutes away from the station, walking distance. Near from restaurants, shop, convenience store. Very good location. No hassle of checking in and out. I had a good breakfast too. I feel relaxed on my 2 nights stay of this hotel. Highly recommended especially for business trip.

The room had a good view and the night and morning glow were beautiful. The plumbing facilities seemed to be new. There is a super public bath nearby, so it is recommended for those who like large public baths. The free breakfast has a wide variety of menu items, so be careful not to overeat. There is no smoking area inside the building, but at the back. It is outdoors, which I personally liked.

This is our second time staying here. It is very nice here. The service at the counter is friendly and good. The most important thing is that the food here is very delicious. The hotel is not afraid of people eating too much, but they are afraid that you will not eat enough! Their dinner portions are huge! The steak is tender and juicy, the seafood is fresh and delicious, the ingredients are all high-quality ingredients, the Japanese-style room is large, the scenery outside the window is beautiful, and the hot spring makes the skin very smooth. I would like to stay here again if I come to Kusatsu next time. Living here makes you feel like home ❤️

It’s a bit hard to get to the hotel from bus terminal if u have luggage with u as it’s a downslope to get to the hotel. There’s also isn’t any lift in the hotel so we have to carry our luggage up to the second floor. We realised when we checked out that there’s actually locker for the luggage at the ground floor. There’s only one type of water in their public onsen which is kind of disappointing as we have high expectations since it is an onsen town. The onsen water however is good. We do feel some difference before and after onsen. There’s also free coffee & hot chocolate drinks right outside the onsen area. It would be better if there’s ice water in the onsen area as the water can get very hot & especially when there’s no cold tub there. The room however is spacious with comfortable bed. There’s also a foot bath located at the ground floor of the hotel right beside the breakfast area.

New hotel. Excellent location, centrally located. The decor is elegant. The room is spacious and has windows that can be opened. The large bed is comfortable. There are indoor hot springs on ground floor, but no outdoor hot springs. Large parking lot, parking is very convenient. Staff service is top notch. Breakfast is average but enough.

There is a large hot spring bath, which is very comfortable. It is also nice that there is a door between the bed area and the entrance! The night naki soba is also very useful when you arrive early for a business trip and check in late.

I was on the second floor so I couldn't see the view, but that's to be expected. Close to the station, reasonably priced, and includes breakfast! What's more, it's homemade food, something you don't find these days. Potato salad is exquisite. Although it wasn't luxurious, it was very satisfying and delicious. It's an old hotel, so if you don't want much in the room, it's reasonably priced, so I recommend it.

The hotel is located close to Gaoqi Station, very convenient. The hotel is an older business hotel, still the type to open the door with a key. The rooms are wide, but the ventilation of the bathroom mainly depends on the ventilation position at the door. If it is a short stay, it is a good choice!

Breakfast is not my own taste, because we are driving a group of four people, there are two categories of parking spaces, indoor mobile parking spaces are different from outdoor prices, the outside is 1000, the indoor is 500, cheap but the disadvantage is to wait a minute or two to let the car turn out! Recommended!

I didn't connect with Rakuten's system, resulting in me not being able to complete check-in and get the password, and Rakuten only has a phone to contact, and there is no email method. This is very unfriendly to foreign tourists. Fortunately, friends who live in Japan can help call Rakuten customer service and we can stay at the hotel. But I didn't receive Rakuten's reservation number and password until I was refunded, and even when I wanted to check-out, I needed to contact customer service with the tablet in the house to get the reservation number before I could complete the formalities. The hotel facilities are great, but because of the system, it made me a bad stay experience this time.

If you want to experience authentic Japanese tatami-style accommodation and stroll around in traditional yukata, this is a great choice. The hotel is conveniently located near all the hot springs, and accommodations here include a rich dinner and breakfast. It’s highly recommended for families or couples traveling together. I highly recommend it!

Took JR express to Kusatsu. From train terminal take a 25 mins bus to Kusatsu bus terminal. There is a shuttle to bus terminal upon request. Take less than 3 mins to reach bus terminal. If walk, then you may take longer times. I booked half boards. Dinner included. The dinner is super good. Free flow of rice, soup n side condiment. Breakfast was Okies. Takeaway coffee cups prepare for you. I specially love the onsen. Robe n slippers had prepared in room for your usage. Kusatsu is a place to have a short getaway from Tokyo.

Location - about 10min walk from the bus terminal at Kusatsu station. Walkable unless it's snowy or froze on the ground as part of the path is quite steep to walk up. Not hard to find as the town is quite close to everything. About 15min walk to yubatake for the famous onsen for pictures and local food and snacks. You can walk to the Sainokawara Onsen(open air public onsen) for about 8min which is located just behind the hotel itself. Service - they do provide transport to and from Yubatake with a specific timetable. They also have an open luggage area at the main hall if you area before check-in you could just leave the luggage and explore the town. They also have separate gender onsen with both indoor and outdoor facilities. They came around 7pm to my room to offer to set up my sleeping mattress. The dinner time was 6.45pm to 8pm and they may vary between seasons. You will be located in a seat in the dining room so don't worry about the crowd and having to fight for your seat. It's buffet style food and I read previous comments about food being cold. They aren't cold as it was heated around 60c ish but the moment food leaves the Bain Marie it will become cold especially during winter. Alcohol is included but you need to be 18 years old. They will start closing some stations including soft serve around 7.30pm so do get there earlier. Cleanliness - just an older building and maintenance pretty ok. You could tell from the design it's a bit outdated but it wasn't dirty or messy. Amenities - they have a Japanese sleep/bath robe at the main hall for guests to take if you need. There's no wifi in the room unfortunately and the only free wifi provided by the hotel is just located down at the main hall. I was given a Japanese style room which is pretty standard. It was on the 7th floor so it came with a pretty good view.

Very helpful for lost travelers overwhelmed by the cold weather. Greeted us warmly when we arrived. Explained the important information to us as best as they could in English, which is perfectly fine. Room was big. Decorated meticulously in the traditional Japanese style. Yukata and Obi provided added on to the immersive experience. Dinner was exquisite. Dishes gave us a taste of what traditional Japanese cuisine was like. The food was sincere (didn’t feel like frozen / canned / ready made food), served and plated meticulously. There were 2 onsens, indoor and outdoor. They were clean and spacious enough. Water (I believe) is from the hot spring nearby and was immensely therapeutic. Ryokan was near the heart of the town and everything was within walking distance. Kindly shuttled us to the bus terminal when we checked out (we didn’t have to wait for fixed timings) and carried our (heavy) luggage. All in all, we enjoyed the one night stay very much and they set a high bar for Japanese hospitality.

I was surprised to see a hotel of the Floral Group in Japan. After reading the comments section, I learned that the front desk staff can communicate in Chinese and there is a pick-up and drop-off service from the JR station. It will be open in 2024. I made a reservation without hesitation. Before checking in, I learned The hotel contacted and learned that Mr. Hoshikawa and his wife are also Chinese. They have been studying in Japan for more than 10 years. It feels like meeting old friends in a foreign country. Because it is our first time to travel to Karuizawa, everything is strange to us. Hoshikawa The husband took the initiative to introduce us to us, and sent us to the car rental company to pick up the car the next morning, and reminded us of the precautions for driving in the snow. Since we stayed at the Karuizawa Prince Hotel the night before, our glasses and power bank were left behind. The hotel forgot to take it away, so I asked Mr. Hoshikawa to contact the Prince Hotel for help. Because the hotel is located halfway up the mountain, the hotel provides kitchen utensils for travelers to cook by themselves. Fortunately, we had enough time, so we bought all the hot pot at the 7-11 supermarket in Karuizawa. Ingredients, of course eating hot pot in the guest room restaurant is a rare experience! Location: 3 minutes from Yubatake / 5 minutes from Otaki no Yu (best value for money) Service: They gave me a sign saying they couldn't speak English, but they somehow understood everything with an interpreter and provided all the services. Facilities: Best value for money. There's a bathhouse on the first floor, but no one was using it, so I went alone in the early morning and took a bath. (There was no hair dryer in the room, so I just washed up in the first floor bathhouse.) They even left my luggage after I checked out in the morning. I would visit again.

I chose a Western-style room the night before, and I chose a Japanese-style room tonight. I enjoy a different experience. The Japanese-style room is also very spacious and clean. In the evening, the staff will help us make the bed during dinner time without having to do it yourself. I slept comfortably for one night and the overall feeling was not bad. Japanese-style rooms are cheaper, and Japanese-style rooms are recommended in Japan 😄

I got off the train from Naganohara Kusatsuguchi Station. There is a JR bus that goes straight to Kusatsu Onsen. After getting off at Kusatsu Onsen Station, walk less than 100 meters to the hotel. The hotel must check in after 3 o'clock. To go skiing, get on the bus at Platform 6 of Kusatsu Onsen Station for a free shuttle bus every half an hour. Skiing is not required. Tickets, renting clothes and skiing equipment cost money. If you ski for the first time, it is recommended not to take the cable car up the mountain because you can’t slide down. My husband and son went down after falling down N somersaults, and took a cable car for 400 yen. There is a child The park is 1000 yen for 1 adult + 1 child, if 2 adults + 1 child is 2000 yen. My son came out for 10 minutes when he was 6 years old and said it’s not exciting and it’s not fun, but it’s for 3-4 year olds. .So after renting clothes and ski equipment, skiing at the foot of the mountain is fine
