3-Star Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

This hotel is located in the heart of Johor Bahru, just a few minutes' walk from the customs checkpoint and the train station. There are plenty of restaurants and malls nearby, and Jonker Street is also very close. The room facilities are complete, and the large window offers an expansive view. The cleanliness is also good. However, prices in Johor Bahru are quite high for Malaysia. A hotel of this caliber without breakfast would likely be cheaper in other cities.

Stayed at Miico Hotel Mount Austin previously and recently tried Miico Hotel Permas Jaya. The Permas Jaya branch is relatively new, so everything feels fresh and clean, which is a plus. The corridor ambience is calming with subtle decor and classical music, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. However, soundproofing is limited—I could hear conversations from the corridor and adjacent rooms. The room door was slightly stiff to open fully, and there was a mild unusual smell in the toilet. Occasional loud noises at night were also noticeable, likely from outside the hotel. Overall, a decent short stay with a pleasant atmosphere, but improvements in soundproofing and minor maintenance would enhance the experience.

5mins walk to CIQ. Komta shopping mall is just opposite the hotel. Taking grab from hotel is easy. Hotel room is facing Komta shopping mall is abit noisy as there is a pub beside the hotel. Live band singing is very loud and did not stop until 12 midnight. You can’t take a quick shower as you need to have patience to adjust the hot/cold tap to the right temperature otherwise you may get “burnt” from the hot water. We managed the water technique as we stayed the hotel for 2 nights. Hotel bed is comfy and the staff is very nice and helpful.

Facilities: Very complete. Hygiene: Cleaned very thoroughly. Service: The staff were very helpful and friendly. Environment: The environment was relatively good. The staff did a great job cleaning, and they even placed the bath towels on the bed.

My overall experience at this hotel was excellent. The room was clean and spacious, with a simple yet cozy design that made me feel relaxed as soon as I walked in. The bed was just the right firmness, and I had a very peaceful night's sleep. The staff were also very friendly, making me feel well-cared for and professional from check-in to departure. The hotel's location is convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby and easy access to transportation. Overall, this was a very comfortable stay, and I would be happy to return.

The hotel room was very clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. However, the location of the room facing the park and main road made it quite noisy, especially during peak hours. If you’re sensitive to sound, I’d recommend requesting a room on a quieter side of the hotel. Overall, a good stay with excellent cleanliness, but noise can be an issue.

ThisThis is the third time I booked this hotel, and it never fails me. Affordable rates for one of the most comfortable and quality hotel amenities. I will surely book here again.

The hotel is quite clean and comfort to stay, just a thing not good enough, that is the sound insulation very bad. We can heard the next room group of Malay girl chit chat and laughing even at midnight 12 something and also at the next day earlier morning around 7.30. This is quite annoying as disturb our resting. Others should be quite ok.

The hotel is incredibly quiet and super easy to find. Just remember, no smoking in the rooms! It's really good value for money, and the owner is very kind. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.
