Davao Airport View Hotel

Transiting through Davao airport and needing a sleepover the OYO 150 Davao Airport view hotel is a great spot to stop over. Very close to the airport, superbly clean and good service. . For travellers there is only one downside. Payment is in cash on arrival. On arrival ask for help from the stake to carry your bad up the stairs to first floor.
Casa Leticia Boutique Hotel

I had a short 2-night stay at this hotel in a King Bed Presidential Suite. Cost was Php3,500 per night. They do offer cheaper rooms so offer great value. Room was large with a fish tank and a large bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Air-conditioning worked well. Room was clean and spacious. The room had a small balcony with views of Peoples Park. Location was great with walking distance to bars and restaurants. Breakfast was included but very limited and catered more to the local market. I only had scrambled eggs, toast and a cup of coffee each morning which was enough to start the day.
Go Hotels Lanang - Davao

We used to frequent at GoHotels (other branches) many years ago so I know that it’s a reputable hotel. But this time, COME ON. They renovated the exterior and lobby of GH Lanang to look new but the rooms are way too old. I paid 4,100+ for 2 nights and it was not worth it - TERRIBLE at that. I didn’t sleep well because of the room state and avoided using the toilet and shower as much as I could because just look at the photos and be the judge. Not only did it look bad, it also smelled bad. On my 2nd morning, I kindly requested for room service but the staff informed me that they only do room service on a guests’s 3rd day but I was only on a 3D2N stay so I figured I wasn’t qualified. I went on and requested that the CR at least be sprayed with air freshener because it was smelly (I literally told them it was smelly). They agreed this time so I expected it to have been done upon my return in the evening but unfortunately it wasn’t (still smelly when I arrived) and I didn’t bother to request again. There was no exhaust fan in the toilet - only a small window that didn’t help at all with the smell up to my last day. Note that there is no “main” CR door - only 2 separate glass doors, one for the toilet and one for the shower. So expect to smell your own poop in the entire because the doors would not hold off the smell for you, lol. You can see the sink from your bed because it was just… there. The only redeeming factor of that room was the duvet and 2 of the pillows (the pillow cases of the other 2 were old and cheap). Other small things I should note: in-room phone wasn’t working so I had to google the number and call the front desk from my mobile phone. I borrowed a flat iron and was quickly brought up to me (thank you, staff). I also requested for a towel change (just 1; there were 2) on my first night because the towels were giving off this weird smell. They quickly changed it (thank you again) but it smelled the same so maybe it was the detergent being used that smelled weird. I let it go. One of the bedside lamps had small stains that looked like blood, which freaked me out NGL. Look, I wasn’t expecting a luxurious stay. I’m a frequent traveller who even stays at smaller, unfamiliar hotels when on long trips to smaller and farther towns. But this was way too bad. I’ve stayed at many rooms like that of what I experienced with GH but I only paid 800-1,000/night so who am I to complain? With GoHotels, I expected more because it’s a Robinson’s property. Heck, Gokongwei group had an advertisement at the lobby so I expected a decent stay at bare minimum! With that experience, I will NEVER stay at ANY GoHotels again and will probably avoid Summit hotels too because it was being advertised at the lobby and I don’t wanna risk paying more money for another sub-par experience. P.S. I cannot comprehend how others have recently rated GH Lanang with 5 stars LOL
Hotel Uno

Place is strategically located along the parade route for the kadayawan festivities. Its also most of the public transportation passed by. So moving around wouldnt be difficult. Locals are friendly, if you get lost just ask politely. Fares are universal for public transport but make sure to bring loose bills like extra coins to limit hassle transactions. The property is outdated though and theres no bidet in the bathroom. They dont have concierge thus make sure to packed lightly. Theres 1 lift available to move between floors. Price was a bit high due to the peak demands as the property was fully booked. Need to check the AC upon check in as the 1st room I got AS was working but cannot cool the room in itself. Upon technician visit, they were kind enough to accommodate me on the 2nd room considering they were fully booked during the festivities. Generally speaking, booked ahead and plan your itineraries prior to booking to maximize your wallet potential. Food stalls are walk away from the property same as other attractions.
The Apo View Hotel
4.1/5152 Reviews
This 70 + year old hotel surely exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was straight forward and simple so I quickly found myself in my room. This room was nicely furnished and newly renovated with all the standard necessary amenities. Very comfortable king sized bed with very clean sheets and pillows. A couple of bedside light switches were broken though. The bathroom was very clean, with ample supply of towels and toiletries. The dinning area where a buffet is set up was cool, smelling good and no insects flying around. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Very attentive service. Reasonable priced food both for the buffet and ala cart menu. Enjoyed the hotel's bar at night. The Blue Moon. Drinks and karaoke. There is no swimming pool. There is a large garden where one can eat al fresco. Overall a very good experience.
Hop Inn Hotel Davao

My stay at the Hop Inn Hotel Davao was unavoidable due to my primary hotel was fully booked during my last two nights in Davao. However, I was pleased with its location, cleanliness and the staff's professionalism (Front Desk, Housekeeping and Security Guard.)
Eden Nature Park and Resort

Overall great resort and park. Enjoyed it very much with the family. Having a toddler and a baby, you are able to enjoy the surroundings and even many of the facilities. We did dear feeding with our 3 year old who loved it. There is a huge playground for him to enjoy although some of the equipment needs some maintenance. We were also able to enjoy the pool which was clean and surrounded by beautiful forrest. In general just walking around in the park is a lovely experience. The cottage we had was clean and proper for our family of 4. A suggestion would be to provide baby cot as I imagine many families are visiting. We were fortunately able to bring our own. Another suggestion is to increase the variety at the breakfast and dinner buffet. For example a second juice option, some vegetarian option. The service we experienced was excellent. When we asked for a shuttle service it alway immediately arrived. When we asked for housekeeping service, it was immediately provided. Overall every encounter we had with the staff at any location was pleasant and they were always helpful.
CITISTYLE INN
4.1/57 Reviews
The place is neat and clean the bed is heavenly comfortable the bedding so white and clean and the whole room itself from the fixtures of bathroom to the tiles isn’t cheap ac,hot and cold shower works perfect - maybe this is a new hotel, and there is also a pool which I have missed to look it up in the rooftop… The location is very close by to SM-lanang- though do not expect the area is upscale it’s in the neighborhood of people lives on their ordinary living - the hotel serves only a Filipino breakfast Nothing else what’s on their list is what all you get! And it’s Not appetizing ! - the front staff are friendly and just okay but they are not so attentive to you and No idea how to give any details to help you out and about the City 😑 … Grab is your butler anyway… and SM-lanang is a big bonus to this place where you can find the eats all you want ! Lastly, Free drinking water in dispenser and free Hot water any time …
