After arriving at the scenic area entrance and buying tickets, you can drive over the Nagqu La Pass. After descending the mountain and arriving at the distribution center, you need to take the scenic area shuttle bus to Tashi Peninsula. Our last trip in Lhasa turned out to be the most satisfying! Even though only three of us booked, we departed as planned without any tour group transfers or forced sales of oxygen or similar items! Our driver, Gyatso, was fantastic—responsible, honest, and attentive. He explained the special places we passed along the way, such as Lhasa's first bridge and the sacred mountains, and introduced us to local customs and culture. He patiently answered our questions from a tourist's perspective, which was very helpful and educational. We three tourists had a very pleasant experience with him! The entire itinerary was excellent, and the driver's skills were superb—he drove very smoothly! The travel experience exceeded our expectations! The scenery of Yamdrok Lake was breathtaking; the water shimmered under the sunlight, and it wasn't far from Lhasa city, making for a very relaxing and enjoyable day trip! The core of the temple, the life-size statue of the 12-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha, brought to Tibet by Princess Wencheng, is adorned with gold and silver jewels that gleam under the lights. Long lines of devotees prostrate themselves in prayer; their pure devotion is deeply moving.
