Groups of 4 to 9 people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains receive an 8% discount. Groups of 10 to 25 people travelling on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains can enjoy up to a 50% discount. For groups larger than 25 people, you can request a quote for approval. Note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If cancellation is necessary, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, with an applicable fee.
Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare
Large families traveling with Renfe in Spain can benefit from 20% discounts for general category families and 50% for special category families on most train services, including AVE and Larga Distancia. These offers exclude AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías services. For single-parent families, discounts apply only to Rodalies trains in Catalonia with the appropriate documentation from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Renfe Over-60s Fare
With the Tarjeta Dorada, Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. Renfe offers a 40% discount on ticket prices for children aged 4 to 13. These children are allowed to select seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and they can make changes or request refunds based on the ticket type, which may involve a fee. Children under four travel for free but do not receive a reserved seat. On Cercanías trains, children under six can travel for free without a reserved seat.
Advance booking
