Stunning and unique masterpiece by Gaudí, still under construction but absolutely breathtaking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very beautiful and busy too. A bit too expensive for a church in my opinion.
The Sagrada Familia is a landmark building in Barcelona. It is the last work of Antoni Gaudí Cornet, known as the "architect of God". It has been under construction for more than 100 years since 1884, and it has not yet been completed. It is the only building in the world that has been listed as a World Heritage Site before it is completed. The three magnificent facades in the east, west and south, the "Nativity Facade" on the east, the "Passion Facade" on the west and the "Glory Facade" on the south, are breathtaking and are miracles in the history of architecture. The church will be completed in 2026, the 100th anniversary of Gaudí's death, to commemorate this great genius.
It is worth going here. Whether it is the architectural style or the fantastic colors inside formed by the principle of light transmission, it creates a completely different experience from the churches you see every day. You need to make an appointment in advance and buy a ticket with your real name to enter the interior for a visit. The visit time is about one hour.
Saint Family Cathedral, after more than 100 years of construction, has not yet been completed. It is the only building in the world that has not yet been completed and is listed as a world heritage. Genius is genius. When Gaudi built the church, there were no drawings. So now the process of church restoration is slow. There are studios in it. The staff still need to model the church. The church is mainly three-sided, recording the birth, suffering and glory of Jesus, glory has not yet been built, can not be visited. Gaudi's church is not like the oppressive feeling of traditional European churches. When it comes in, it's colorful. Gaudi wants to give others the feeling of heaven. The Eastern sun rises in cold tones while the Western Sunset in warm tones. I don't want to go.
A stunning work! I felt like vomiting after seeing so many churches in Italy for a few years, so I didn't have too many expectations for the Sagrada Familia. I just wanted to visit here. But I admit that I was wrong. I don't want to talk about the complex construction background of the Sagrada Familia. I just want to talk about the sensory experience. I don't want to talk about the complexity of the Gothic facade. What I want to savor and chew is the amazing sight and color interaction when entering the church. Some beauty is the ultimate complexity. Those pink, ice blue, tender green, delicate yellow, and those macaron color spread pictures are not easy to grasp. If you are not careful, it will be tacky if it is too strong, and it will lose its style if it is too light. Those interior decorations, white, ivory, sand, and light gold, the colors are layered and progressive, forming a pattern combination. The logic of the combination is extremely exquisite. If you change a piece of color, it will fail. I like it, I like it too much. I really want to bite off a piece and hold it in my mouth.
Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's masterpiece, is also a landmark building in Barcelona and is well-known all over the world! I was shocked when I saw the Sagrada Familia. Gaudi cleverly used light effects to enhance the appeal and solemnity of the Sagrada Familia. He once said that color is the moving part of life, which is exactly the unique quality of the Sagrada Familia. Many small elements that add the finishing touch to the tower and the roof are mosaics made of Venetian glass and painted with colorful glazes. The light and shadow effects inside, in addition to the reflection of various building materials such as stones, are also due to many symbolic decorations, such as stained glass. PS: I arrived at 9 o'clock in the morning, and there were already many tourists from all over the world queuing up, so I strongly recommend booking tickets for the Sagrada Familia before traveling, so as to avoid unnecessary queuing time~
