🎉I hope you have a great time and unforgettable memories on your trip to Hungary and more countries!
The scenery is absolutely stunning! The enclosed cabin wasn't cold at all, and you can go outside to take photos. The complimentary champagne was okay, but we couldn't get a refill. The waiter was very polite and didn't complain, so we just drank it!
The Budapest boat tour is a must-do in Budapest, and buying tickets from Ctrip is quick and easy. If you're planning on buying tickets in advance, this is an option to avoid the inconvenience of returning to your hotel if the pier is far from your hotel. Tickets can also be purchased on-site, though voice communication can be difficult.
Danube river, Budapest, wine and waltz. What could be better. Pure magic. Bring warm clothes, your loved ones, and some paprikash to share. Be sure to start from the correct wharf and not mix the boats. Captains become angry sometimes. Bring water for children. Better suited for romantic escapes and staycations. Nice touch - when no slots available on booking, trip.com has it. Bravo!

The two banks of Budapest are very beautiful at night, and a cruise on the Danube is a great way to explore the soul of Budapest, especially when night falls, the river surface turns into a flowing picture scroll, telling the glorious history and romantic mood of both banks. We chose to board the boat in the evening, and the boat slowly left the dock. The steel skeleton of the Chain Bridge shone brightly under the lights. This ancient bridge, which was promoted and built by Count Szechenyi, not only connects Buda and Pest, but also carries the regret of not being able to fulfill filial piety and the oath to cross the natural chasm, becoming the first pearl on the "Mother River Necklace" in the hearts of Hungarians. During the boat trip, the melody of "The Blue Danube Waltz" flowed in my ears, as if Strauss's notes were still jumping between the waves, interweaving into poetry with the reflections of the Baroque spires and Gothic arched windows on both sides. On the Pest Plain on the east bank, the neo-Gothic Parliament Building is like a dream made of gold. Its 87 spires and gold-foil domes are dazzling in the night, and its reflection ripples with the water, like a temple held up by the Danube. The Buda Hill on the west bank is outlined by the outline of the Buda Castle, which has a heavy sense of history. This palace complex, which has experienced the Mongol invasion, Turkish occupation and the flames of World War II, now stands quietly on the top of the mountain as a museum. The warm yellow lights give the stone walls a soft glow, echoing the twin spires of St. Anna's Church at the foot of the mountain. The cruise ship passes through the Margaret Bridge, and the obtuse-angled bridge extends to the middle section of the Margaret Island. This oasis-like park is looming in the night, with only the wings of the angel statues on the bridge piers passing by. On the deck, we leaned on the railing and looked into the distance, our cameras capturing the graceful curves of the Elizabeth Bridge or the emerald steel skeleton of the Liberty Bridge. The nine bridges were like strings of different styles, playing an architectural symphony on the Danube.
There are many cruise companies on the Danube River, and most of them are located on the Pest side of Budapest. The routes of these cruises are similar, and there are many trips during the day and at night. I personally recommend the evening one, so that you can enjoy the scenery during the day and at night. The buildings on both sides of the river are more beautiful when they light up at night than during the day. The buildings and bridges on both sides of the river are worth seeing, including the Buda Palace, Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church, Hungarian Parliament Building, Chain Bridge, Elizabeth Bridge and Liberty Bridge.
Taking a Danube River boat tour in Budapest was one of the highlights of our trip! Seeing the city from the water, especially in the evening, was breathtaking. The gentle cruise along the river provided stunning views of Budapest’s landmarks, including the Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Chain Bridge, and Gellért Hill, all beautifully illuminated at night. We chose a sightseeing cruise that lasted about 1 hour, and it was the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of night lights.
