What can you find in the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street, London?
Following up on my previous post, during my trip to London, the second stop on my free day tour was the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street. After entering the narrow doorway, there is a straight, dark corridor, and then you go directly upstairs to the second floor. On the second floor, a lady playing the role of Holmes' housekeeper comes out to tell visitors some little stories about Sherlock Holmes, the historical background, and movie props. Some stories are told so convincingly, like the holes all over the wall were made by Mr. Holmes playing darts out of boredom—I almost believed it, hahaha.
I won’t go into too much detail here; you can experience it yourself when you visit. I must mention that since the housekeeper is British and only speaks English, those who are not good at English listening might find it a bit hard to understand, which can be frustrating. But you can record it and then use machine translation, which works pretty well. Also, the place is really small. Visitors are reminded at the entrance not to bring backpacks inside but to carry them by hand because the rooms are packed with props everywhere. If you wear a backpack, you might accidentally knock things over since visitors are very close to each other while touring. So please be careful when you go; otherwise, it would be very troublesome if any damage claims arise.
This is a must-see for Sherlock Holmes fans, recreating the style of Victorian homes. Tickets are £20 for adults at the door, and there's a queue to enter. Pre-booking online can shorten the queue. The second floor offers guided tours and interactive activities, followed by free time for visitors. The venue is small, so the total time spent queuing and visiting the museum should not exceed an hour.

Enjoyed the visit, but I was expecting a bit more. The house is divided in 3 floors, first floor, is the guided tour which is some explanation of two rooms. Floors 2 and 3 are at your own pace without any explanation or details
💁🏻♀️If you are a loyal Sherlock Holmes fan, then this "Sherlock Holmes Museum" in London must be a place you must check in. The museum has highly restored the description of Sherlock Holmes' residence in the novel, and when visitors visit, it is like being a guest in the great detective's house😁. The gift shop next to the Sherlock Holmes Museum is also a very good place to visit. They sell all the Sherlock Holmes peripherals you can think of, but the price💰 is a bit expensive. I bought two lighters in gold and silver as souvenirs, 12 pounds for one, 20 pounds for two. After buying it, I remembered that lighters can't be carried with you or checked in😭... The twist is that my friend told me that British airports allow each person to carry one lighter‼ ️Happy👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a pilgrimage site for Sherlock Holmes fans around the world. It perfectly reproduces the style of the Victorian era, and each room is full of history, as if Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson had just left. The museum displays a wealth of exhibits, including classic props and precious manuscripts from the novels, making people feel as if they are in the detective world of Sherlock Holmes. Whether you are a mystery novel lover or a historical and cultural explorer, this is a wonderful place not to be missed.
The Sherlock Holmes Museum is worth a visit! It restores the scenes in Sherlock Holmes' novels and is full of mysterious atmosphere. You can visit Sherlock Holmes' study, bedroom and other rooms to experience his living and working environment. There are also many exhibits and materials about Sherlock Holmes in the museum. If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan or like detective stories, this place will definitely excite you.
The entire museum is arranged according to the scenes in the novel, retaining the architectural style of the 19th century and embodying a strong Victorian style, adding authenticity to Sherlock Holmes' "old residence". It is one of the most desirable places for Sherlock Holmes fans all over the world, where you can experience Sherlock Holmes' life and detective scenes in person.
There is no need to introduce the address of the museum, everyone can remember it: 221B Baker Street! The attractions in London are not difficult to get to. At least I walked here very smoothly from King's Cross Station by following Google Pokémon Go. BBC’s proud Sherlock is the love of my heart, so when I come to London, of course I have to come to 221B Baker Street, the place where I foolishly sent Christmas wishes when I was a child. When I grew up, I realized that the postman did not deliver my card with Chinese writing and domestic postage to Sherlock Holmes. The waiter at the door is really cute, with typical British style. Since the games in the museum were too difficult and not very friendly to a drama fan like me who had tourist-level English, I went straight to the store next door to buy some. The store displays many Sherlock Holmes characters and merchandise from various production crews. It's a very cute store, and Sherlock Holmes fans shouldn't miss it.
