The Madrid Zoo is small, but has a wide variety of animals. The two giant pandas from China are very popular. The sea master show and the aquarium are both very good. There are luggage storage boxes at the entrance, and restaurants are scattered around the park.
Only the zoo was open on Christmas Day, so I decided to go to the zoo. I didn't expect it to be quite interesting. The dolphin show has been stopped recently. But you can see dolphins jumping out of the water from time to time, which is very interesting. The aquarium is not big, so you can just walk around. I saw two pandas, Zhuyu and Jinxi, who had just moved in 24 years ago. It was afternoon when I went there. Both of them were eating bamboo in the venue and looked very healthy. The introduction sign said that both of them don't like to eat carrots, which is so cute. There is also a commemorative banknote vending machine next to it. You can get banknotes by inserting a 2 euro coin. It feels great and is very commemorative. There are also animals such as giraffes and elephants.
I loved this zoo so much! The tickets you buy are very reasonable. So many different animals, some I've never seen before, like white tigers, dolphins etc. The various animal displays/presentations were wonderful, but the dolphins were just breathtaking! The dolphin show was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. I don't speak Spanish so I didn't understand what people were saying, but you don't need to speak Spanish to enjoy it. The aquarium is amazing, lots of different kinds of fish, and then you get to the big aquarium with lots of sharks. My whole holiday in Madrid was amazing, but the zoo was by far the highlight. I 100% recommend going here
It's worth a visit. The zoo is not particularly large, but the layout is reasonable and many details are well handled. For example, there will be large billboards telling you what food and classic set meals are sold in various restaurants throughout the park. There are also dolphins, sea lions, parrots and bird performances, which are very exciting.
